This could be huge for the xbone. Emulators for NES, SNES, N64 maybe even PS1 or Neo-Geo and stuff like that. Everyone says that there's no viable legal action against emulators and i hope this holds true because it could literally make the xbone my most played console.
@one2thr
One things for sure - graphics are the last thing to worry about with a game like this, and the last thing to dictate price as well.
The only other games i can think of that base themselves entirely on algorithmic/generated areas is Minecraft and all the rogue-likes. They're not 60 dollars. This game's only made by like 5 people iirc and that would make it the only game i can think with that small of a team to sell for 60.
It's not really fair to compare the Wii U to platforms that came out with no digital distribution. Digital distribution has DRAMATICALLY changed the way games get released. And the Wii U had massive digital support because Unity was built into the platform, a move i think Nintendo deserved more credit for honestly. They quickly saw that third parties couldn't survive on their platform and so they snagged a very smart partnership for indies.
If you count digital titl...
I think one of the big reasons it flopped was because they milked SF4 to oblivion. They were releasing updated versions of it all the way to 2014. When SF4 came out we hadn't seen a SF game in like 8 years, it had this revolutionary art style and great graphics. SF5 comes after we've been burned out on SF, and with little visual evolution like past games in the series had
I always welcome the smaller price point games. Smaller team = smaller budget = more creative control = more unique, centralized game
I really liked rainbow six vegas 2 last month, they really dont make games like that anymore. Thats my favorite kinda GWG offer - not the most expensive game but the one most are too afraid/intimidated to pay for.
XCOM was also a good one
@Godmars
Firstly, the pioneering of dlc began way before MS entered the market and was starting to pick up steam on the Dreamcast
Also DLC and patches were going to be apart of the industry anyway. Production costs have always been rising as has online attach ratio - both inevitably led to DLC and patches.
Development tools have advanced at a slower pace than hardware leading to expensive development cycles with increasingly large teams...
Needs more Roadhog
@Jeece
"Remember 10-8 years ago?"
Uhhh... no. Evidently you dont either since you joined in 2013.
"What goes around comes around" is such a silly statement in this scenario. Do you really think people are downvoting these posts due to the gross injustices the playstation fans had to endure all those years ago?
I grew up reading Gary Larson cartoons that constantly depicted god or jesus humorously. It was funny.
Also Armature who is made up of former Metroid Prime devs
@vickers
I get that, and respect your opinion. If i had a gun to my head, i'd vote libertarian (i know i cheated :P).
My preference of Trump over Hillary stems from her war hawk track record and dislike of all the outsourced jobs. Also desire for someone not indebted to super PAC's and special interests.
But there's other choices out there, so i dont have to pull the Trump trigger.
Cough, vote libertarian
@deafdani
I dont want voting for Clinton or Trump on my conscience. Neither would be good for the country. Trump at least has a decent business career, god knows how that would translate to president. But Hillary has basically nothing but failure to her name, and the Clinton name is the only thing that got her this far.
I, for one, dont look forward to thousands of people losing jobs.
I hear Red Dead is a hot mess in terms of code, basically a beautiful vase held together by band-aids. The online was incredibly easy to break, and probably impossible to fix for any significant amount of time.
Basically hackers exploited the nature of the NPC spawning system.
Why else would they? They already submitted to them back in 2015 over butts. Did capcom have a change of heart and decide nipples were wrong?
I think you're missing the bigger picture. The disparity between games between regions is getting worse because of these people. These SJW's are getting entire games banned from the west. They're making sure political correctness permeates every fiber of a medium that used to be about fun over all.
Its ...
It does get people moving, that much i like about it. They just look like zombies when they do it.
I don't think Nintendo is publishing Pokemon Go. I see people walking around GLUED to their phone playing this all the damn time.
This isnt a AAA game. AAA refers to budget more than anything (including quality - games like The Order or Quantum Break are still AAA games).
