Its funny because even though the Xbox beat it by like 3 million, the crappy contract MS had with nvidia made them lose billions every year, forcing them to get the 360 out ASAP. I dont even think Sony lost as much money with the PS3.
Compare that to Nintendo, who never took a loss in the gamecube years due good software sales and the GBA. Flops are funny that way.
Xbox and GC are both great consoles.
The game looks pretty fun to me, reminds me of retro games in a good way. But 2 min load times are inexcusable and i wont support it for that reason
There's not technically a legal wall against the emulator though. As long as ROM's arent on the xbox store it should be fine. It's like how torrent clients aren't illegal to own, until you start to torrent stuff.
If anyone got sued over this, it would be a landmark case.
The thing is Pro and Scorpio are totally different machines. The Pro is just a premium model ps4, and the Scorpio IS the successor to the xbox one being released early for those interested. It just wont receive its own games until way down the line
Sony is sticking to a generational approach and MS is abandoning it.
The PS4 pro and scorpio arent even targetting the mass market anyway, they are premium models. People wanted more power, they got it. It is for those people.
Monster hunter and Runescape (back in the day lol) are weird because they're both time sinkers and i would put like 100 hours into them in 2 weeks, and then never play them again.
I wouldnt ask for a refund though.
I cant believe we know nothing for certain and its due out in march? I expect a delay at this point.
Yeah makes you wonder why they clung to so many of their failing divisions for as long as they did.
TV's, music, movies and PlayStation. That's all they ever needed.
Yeah i think what stings the most about NMS is the fact it was an indie dev which are usually more trustworthy.
If EA or Ubisoft were pushing NMS then we wouldve assumed bullshots and other deceit a long time ago
I doubt NMS will sink Hello Games. Actually, im positive. With a staff of 11 they created a game that sells for 60 bucks, and sells pretty well at that. I cant think of any other indie that got away with that pricepoint.
The refunds are understandable but still probably only account for like 10% at most of total sales.
If Joe Danger kept them afloat, NMS will do more than that.
I think a movie is different since it costs like 9 bucks. This game was 60, and the misadvertisement was evident enough that a decent chunk of buyers felt misled. When there's a massive problem with customers, i think a refund is understandable.
Can you imagine how much worse it'd be without a refund? People would be even more outraged.
But it also costs 60 dollars, you have to judge it on those terms.
Minecraft was never more than 20 iirc, and lord knows they could've raised that price and got away with it.
I agree it has a potential, though.
People were justifying the price by saying it takes 4 quintillion years to discover, but what good is that if people are done after one week?
I hope the content updates make the game worth coming back to.
That's pretty scummy. I'd like to think he regrets it somewhat.
Nvidia does need a path back into the console business though, this could be their opportunity since Sony and MS are clearly sticking with the Neo and Scorpio for a while
Painted "Everything Louder than Everything Else" on the back of my jacket for lemmy <3
On xbone it runs fine but i freeze at the metro.
Financial domination fetish?
Yeah this is like my dream game as a kid. Always wondered why Rockstar never tackled an open world pirate game.
The water physics look killer, the way the ship fills up is so cool
2 is wholly underrated, the gameplay was gold. You could do so many different combat options, and the level design was so labrynthian
