It also wasnt advertised at all.
What does Infinite do better? Its scripted as hell, there's less gameplay options, 2 weapon limit, tons of plot holes and it never lived up to the demos which showcase a completely different game.
Imo 1>2>>>>infinite
You can see Levine's influence missing, but i think thats what makes it more unique. Levine goes for more larger-than-life stories with big twists. Bioshock 2 focused more on the characters and situations of its story.
Bioshock 2's biggest strength are good environment design (Thief 2 designer worked on it) and a ton of gameplay options.
I still think Bioshock 1 is better but 2 is still head and shoulders above Infinite imo. Underrated multiplayer...
Funny how this game will probably retail for the same price though huh
It's the price point that ruins the game for most, i think.
Yeah, i dont need 20 different audio tracks. In fact when it comes to battlefield, i dont even want the single player.
It's gonna be pretty fun playing a platformer in 2016.
But Blinx still looks graphically amazing somehow.
Only thing kotaku's biased against is social justice.
Procedural generation can be a games best feature or its worst. The issue with NMS is that it relied solely on that random mechanic as a game. You can't dictate any of its content like in Minecraft where you build a house. Theres nothing fundamentally unique in the universe there. Its just flip a coin, hope you get a cool planet.
Yeah, its the medias fault. Not the game being fundamentally disappointing to so many
Lol "a few thousand" players didnt enjoy the game, huh. You can like the game all you want but when you pull statistics out of your a** and try to invalidate people who didnt like the game it comes across as something more than that.
It was a 60 dollar indie game made by less than a dozen people with bullshotted E3 demos, deceptive PR, and no real gameplay mechanics outside of hoping the RNG gives you a cool looking planet. Theres multiple 30 minute videos dissect...
The issue is, this is something big gaming companies do every year. It seems hypocritical to go after an indie team that cant defend themselves while big companies continue to get away with it because no one will mess with their excellent legal teams.
Coming from someone who didnt enjoy NMS at all.
@EDMIX
It just seems slimy to bankrupt an indie studio with legal BS when Gearbox gets to walk free from Aliens: Colonial Marines or Ubisof...
Yeah they prefer the sugarcoated Bioshock Infinite kinda racism.
I remember playing an Indiana Jones game and they refused to show a swaztika in a game set during WWII...
Underrated movie imo
I kinda like the laid back, carefree feel of the Horizon games though. I usually play every game i get on the hardest difficulty, but FH is just fun to chill to.
Im also not a big fan of racing games, so theres that too.
@DeadlyOreo
1. He didn't say that phenomenon was exclusive to Microsoft.
2. He didnt say anything below 9/10 was unjustified.
Why the hostility?
Naughty Dog better watch out, Dead Rising 4 might be the new head honcho of zombie stories!
I think the 2TB model wouldnt be 100 more.
I guess they'll lower the storage to whatever they can to hit 399 though
Gears just feels so satisfying to play, no other TPS besides Vanquish feels as cohesive to me
Good for you, want a cookie?
There's been a Forza every year for like 6 or 7 years now right? If MS wasn't making money, why would they keep making Forza? And if they ARE making money, (which they must be, to keep investing in the series) what does it matter what the told-you-so cool kid on N4G says?
