Its wrong for people to undermine the Wii as a successful console but the hype most definitely did fade away - wii sales hit a brick wall in 2011 and that was nintendos first net loss in 100 years.
Also the 360 ended up last in the sales race.
Arguably better since the nintendo costumes are exclusive to the Switch and Wii U version.
Bring back the double dash mechanic! I just modded my wii u to play gamecube games and im loving it.
Thats like a 70% attach ratio
I would prefer a 2D sequel to cap off the returns trilogy. DK64 just didn't age well and as an unbiased DK fan who first played it a few years ago, I thought it was a massive game with too much busywork. And i loved SM64 and the Banjo games.
Imo they should let Monster games (who ported DKCR to 3DS and assisted with Tropical Freeze) develop a new DK sequel, and let Retro do something new.
@Nebaku
It was widely publicized when Super Meat Boy couldnt make it to the Wii because of the size limit on WiiWare titles. Physical releases are a different story.
Probably the lowest ive seen N4G go
Congrats
Cant blame them, the Wii had a big audience but nintendo capped indie game sizes to 200 MB, which limited the ability to publish.
The Wii U didnt sell well enough to justify making games for.
Finally the Switch is seeing good sales and the games are too.
I mean the xbox one is at 25-30 million right now, in one year the Switch is already at 14 million.
If MS doesn't change the game up Nintendo will eclipse them fast. I bought a Xbox One in 2014 and it ended up being one of my most regretful purchases due to the lack of quality first party games. The last "exclusive" i bought was Recore.
How could they justify limiting the PS4/Xbone audience that they just introduced with World by making a Switch exclusive.
DC games almost always ran in 480p which looked better than the PS2's grainier look, but there is very little on the DC that compares on a technical level to games like GTA III, MGS 2, SotC, Jak, DMC...
Overrall i think examining the power gap is missing the real reason you cant compare them - the DC had a heck of a lot more games than the Wii U, and i think in 5 years DC games will keep coming while the Wii U will be collecting dust.
I had a lot of ...
Is smash run actually fun? Ive just never deviated from start > smash > online > for glory in my 250+ hours of smash 4
It's mostly memeworthy but i do find it interesting. It's like the evolution from the plastic wii wheel from so long ago.
Maybe they can release a cardboard waifu for the more adult crowd.
If its 60 i'll be mad. When it originally came out on Wii U it was 50
Lmao is it 70 dollars?
This reminds me of all the stuff they made in the forest in Swiss Army Man.
Its kinda cool though, not gonna lie. The way they can just put their hardware in a shell like this and make experiences out of it is fascinating. This is like the evolution of the wii wheel, basically.
Street Fighter 4 360 sales: 2.95 million
Street Fighter 4 PS3 sales: 4.19 million
They tried it, Sony was just willing to fund it where MS wanted to push KI,
I think the issue with U3 is that the setpieces/game scenarios were written before the story.
Thats the feeling i get, anyway.
Not really.
Just because the Switch is Nintendos most practical gimmick doesnt mean it is safe. Coming a few years after the Vita flopped after it promised "console gaming in your pocket", they resold the idea and are doing well with it.
Crash Bandicoot is a hardcore platformer
Hardcore platformers sell very well on Nintendo platforms.
