Well and the game looked better in Unity anyway. It had actual art style and now it looks bland, i couldnt tell the difference between it or Alien Isolation, Routine, etc...
For me personally Platinum is the only one still making these games as a real evolution to the genre's beginnings in the PS2 era. Unless DMC 5 comes out, Bayo 3 is the only one with complex combat with things like taunts, dodge offset, juggling, etc.
The new No More Heroes has a good luck but looking at interviews its not really clear what the gameplay is. Either way ive always felt that game was a beat em up.
Maybe im missing something but the new G...
Can i ask what difficulty you chose? Doom is fine on anything below Nightmare (what i play on), where the increased enemy count can really bring down the fps and dynamic resolution.
I like that Doom is on Switch, it harkens back to the days of porting Doom 1-2 to seemingly impossible platforms. Wolfenstein 2 will need significantly more tinkering though.
I cant imagine how they'll port this. Doom works but just barely, and this game is a lot more technically demanding. It chugs on a base xbox one.
Sorry, the over the shoulder camera doesnt do it for me. It looks a lot clunkier. Im sure it'll be good but in a different way then past games.
Bayonetta 3 appears to be the only upcoming hack n slash in the vain of the PS2 glory days.
a 3DS on steroids? That's moronic.
If you call it anything, its a Wii U on steroids, except it uses none of that hardware.
Melee has a good photo mode
I still think the colors look better on 360. More vivid and less washed out. Considering its the first version i kind of see it as the way the game was meant to look,
@blackblades
You're right about him not having a choice, i just wanted to make it clear that the perspective that he "hates" playstation is unfounded.
That would be ridiculous.
Tropical Freeze originally launched for 49.99 on Wii U. I remember!
If they charge 60 I'll be mad, thats just a slap in the face to us ex-Wii U owners who are still waiting for new content on the Switch and aren't tided over by the two re-releases that are coming.
Won't happen, MS still owns the IP even though it never released. Though they did renew the trademark on it which is a little weird.
IMO 2 isn't a disappointment, neither game is, but the competition to both of them has pretty much evaporated so it makes it harder to compare. I will still gladly get Bayo 3 day 1!
I think both games are held back by the quick time events. They're just lazy and DMC 4 already proved intense action games can remove quick time events and implement context sensitive options into combat in the same way. It sucks because in combo videos you can see both games have the po...
The irony.
Most of games he directed are on Playstation.
RE 2
DMC
DMC 3
Viewtiful Joe
Bayonetta
Okami
The ONLY one that he directed and isnt on Playstation is TW101, and Scalebound before it was cancelled.
Not sure why the disagrees.
Its because Bayonetta was designed from the ground up for the more GPU intensive 360. Even with all the work they put into fixing the PS3 version, it still doesnt look or feel nearly as good.
Its not like PS3 isnt more powerful, just that its running a game that never considered the PS3's strengths. You can see the opposite scenario with another Platinum game Vanquish, where PS3 was lead platform.
Idk. Im pretty good at MH but my main issue was the grind.
Is that an issue with this one? I just recall spending 4+ hours on Tri grinding the same monster trying to get a gem with like a 2% drop rate and i just wasn't feeling the RNG-based game design.
Limited resources
It actually sold pretty well, Capcom has said. It was just a pointless $40 re-release and thats why its dead.
The switch is too bulky with its vent and joy con rails to be a competitive tablet imo. It would also need a bigger battery.
I think Nintendo needs to work on the switch's UI and online infrastructure considerably but i think a lot of gamers wouldve veen turned off by the "its a gamer tablet!" approach youre proposing.
Historically, no.
But Metroid Prime 1 was a sleeper hit due to the excellent advertising and the hype of seeing Samus again after 8 years. Sold 2.5 million on the gamecube which is quite a bit.
DKC:TF is a killer game but it underperformed and i think Nintendo sees the value in diversitying their lineup as opposed to another 2D platformer.
Idk why youd have confidence in Lionhead tbh. Fable hasnt been good since 2.
