Yeah i liked that the bioshock games let console players lock the framerate.
Its not like sony did something revolutionary and MS is copying something distinct. They just put all their effort into powerful hardware and games, and MS wanted to chase a bigger market. Sony did what they knew would work, MS (like nintendo did with the wii) took a risk.
Really, MS is using the same approach they had with xbox and xbox 360, a focus on games.
i always thought Phil Spencer kind of looked like Bill from True Blood. Just a little shorter.
Indie horror is the best, compared to what? Dead Space?
Vast majority of indie horror is nothing more than jumpscare fodder made for people like Pewdiepie to shriek to so those devs can make bank off the exposure youtube personas give them.
Its not fair to say indie horror is the best when the last true survival horror game from a big developer was maybe Condemned in 2005? Maybe Fatal Frame 4 if you count it.
Outlast and Amnesia are among the exceptions, of which there...
Similar issues with the load times and performance though. Seemed like it had the same programmers.
Last game was great. Hopefully Eidos montreal is back to buisiness this game, Thief was pretty crap.
Theres 3 F-Zero games on GBA. Yeah, 3.
F-Zero Maximum Velocity is the one coming in April
F Zero GP Legend is the i own
Thres also a japan-only sequel to GP Legend
Nintendo have only confirmed Maximum Velocity. The fact that this was rated means GP Legend could be coming soon too.
Unfortunately, not the case. This is a GBA game that i own right now. Its not the best game, not worth the money they'll ask for it, but still pretty good.
Just saying, if they made a new f-zero, they need to make it in beautiful 1080p on Wii U. Maybe make a companion game on 3ds, but dont let the 3ds version drag the wii u down.
They mention this in the article, but they totally mislead in the first paragraph. What the hell...
Isn't this already coming in April...?
Edit: nevermind, another GBA F-Zero in April
Yeah, capcom's going to be dirt cheap here pretty soon. If nintendo had full rights to resident evil, megaman, and monster hunter, they'd be set in terms of pumping out exclusives. The capcom workforce is huge.
Alas, such is but a dream.
Capcom would be better under anyone but the dlc whores running them into the ground.
How odd, earlier this year they said Sony had 79% chance which has dropped to 45, and they had Nintendo at a much higher position.
If things change that drastically that quick, its clear their criteria for determining bankruptcy likelihood is too loose.
Seriously one of the hidden gems last gen. The sequel was also pretty good. Rare didnt make GREAT games last gen, but Kameo, VP, and even Nuts n Bolts i thought were good games, and they all cost like 40 bucks at launch too.
I like how this gen all 3 consoles offer a different experience. Last gen everyone had a wii60 pswii combo, because the ps3 and xbox 360 had largely the same games with minimal differences, it basically came down to online service and controller preferance.
But ps4, xbone, and wii u are all vastly different systems.
Its doing alright.
Im more surprised the xbone stood at 75k, to be honest. Thats not bad.
Game freak says the old pokemons will never be available digitally. If i were nintendo i'd challenge that. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
@bennibop
They said before its about the same as ps3. Which is a both a testimony to how laborious it was to develop on ps3 and how easy it is to develop on ps4.
I would arguably say 2001-2008.
Its like they had that taste of success and said "screw it" lol.
Shit man youre really missing out if you never got a ps1 or ps2. Ps3 has some good stuff but not as much as the first two.
I didnt like the ps2 as much growing up (you had to buy a hard drive, that thing for online play, something for 4 player multiplayer, ended up costing way more than the xbox which had all of that) but buying one for 40 bucks and replaying all the hidden gems has been great.
You cant compare a game or a film or any art form to a history paper with a rubric and specific criteria. A game cant be "off topic" with there being no topic. Thats a really poor analogy. A game should be judged on fun or lasting appeal or memorability, or all of the above. It depends a lot on the genre. When ign gabe halo 4 a 9.8 and bioshock infinite a 9.4 people got mad because it implied halo 4 was a better game, but really it means they thought halo 4 was a better multiplayer ...
Nintendo definitely needs to be on stage.
The directs are great, but it's like shouting in a room of people who already own a 3ds/wii u versus shouting to a world of gamers.
I think if they had a press conference they would be at 6.5 million wii u's sold, maybe more for 3ds as well. Not a huge increase over what they have now, but that's not including those that got interested in the console via E3 when they might not have been interested enough to seek out the d...
