Agreed on MS not trying for japan. Though i do think they should keep relations strong with japanese third parties. They have a big audience outside japan.
I think they did all they could with the xbox and 360, they seem to be doing even less with the xbone so theres not much point
To be honest im really not feeling the effort yet.
It worried me to see ready at dawn jump to ps4 dev because they made some of sony's biggest games on psp.
I think theyre seeing how much remote play helps the sales.
I hope so, its strange how the AI in the e3 demo was so much more impressive. If they ever do update it, i'll miss toying with the molotov guys lol.
Part of what made Returns hard for me was i played it co-op, which is a ton of fun but 2 kongs on screen can be a bit disorienting and you lose lives twice as fast.
The level design is just as cruel as returns, with even more setpieces and such. The difficulty overrall though, is a bit easier. The rocket barrel and minecarts now take 2 hits for example. Collectibles are just as devilishly hidden. Boss battles are harder though. There seems to be more extra lifes and banana coins given out as well.
Overrall its hard but not NES hard like returns where you have to like grind lives to take on some of the rocket barrel levels and world 8.
Youve been on n4g on less than a day and all you've done is bash MS and the Xbox One. C'mon man, there's just much better things you can be doing. MS expressed concerns at a 3rd party abusing their hardware to invade customer's privacy, rightfully so.
I still think its a shame sony jumped on pay to play online. This is nice though.
If it got the kinda marketing prime 1 did metroid would easily in the 2-3 million range consistently. The last 2 prime games were released right next to juggernauts halo 2 and 3 and other m received a hefty marketing campaign, but that didnt change the fact that people dodnt really want it.
Prime 1 was sitting up their with mario and zelda on the gamecube, it has the potential to drawn in a different audience than nintendo's usual games.
Its funny you should bring those two characters up because there was Halo: Spartan Assault for Windows Phone and tablet last year and the PS All Stars Island promotional iOS game just a few months ago. No one complained knowing the money would go to PS4 and PSV development. Sonic's been on mobile too, both a widely successful port of sonic 1 and mobile exclusive games.
They dont need to produce new content on mobile, i doubt anyone would judge if they put an old-as-dirt mario gam...
So? That hasnt stopped inumerable mario clones and nes, gba, and other emulators on phones from stealing potential sales from nintendo.
Just because none of US would buy it because we can get a superior version on a console doesnt mean those that dont want a 3ds or wii u wont buy this as a time waster. Judging the quality of the game is irrelevant, it'll be the last version of the game you want no matter how it controls, and to a lot of people a couple bucks is all theyre willing ...
Exactly, nintendo would want the superior version on their platform. If you had to make the choice, the one on 3ds all the way. The controls and miiverse features, etc. will sell the console version. I doubt mario would even play well with touch controls but with millions of people getting gameboy and gba emulators its clear they dont care how it controls.
For all those that don't wanna spend that much money the one on mobile will suffice. Make millions off a mere port, advertise ...
If you ask me theres no reason why they shouldnt put the first 3 mario bros games on there. Thats a goldmine and no one's buying the 3ds/wii u to play 30 year old games anyway. Theyre just a nice add-on.
The console's power, design etc are irrelevant if it builds a decent library of titles. The real problem is MS's descisions regarding the console. If they fall behind far, thats when they'll start making their policies more favorable and start producing more exclusives, like they did to get their foot in the door with the xbox, like they did to get a sizeable market share with the 360.
I honestly dont want MS on top. They produce their best content when overcoming adversit...
Good lord, even if they were doing that bad and assuming they would stay that consistently evil, how would that ruin this gen. There's 2 other companies also putting out good games.
Is the link dead for anyone else...?
I did, i just find it funny how many different places and time periods have been named lately.
I think AC V will take place in Uganda, why isnt anyone making an article about me and my rumor?
No one game can do that for a 500 dollar machine.
Sunset overdrive and quantum break looks cool, DR3 and KI look fun, and a new halo will also undoubtably be awesome. Overrall an xbone is not a bad console whatsoever, im sure it'll be looked back on as an underrated system overshadowed by the ps4 like the xbox and gamecube were to the ps2.
