20i upscaled to 160i
It also isnt even a reboot... just a subseries i think.
I never even realized it was derogatory, i always thought of it as just a portmanteau of xbox and one.
Well plants vs zombies and titanfall coming up.
Maybe it will be the system seller no one expects it to be.
I dont get how you guys can look at 4 months of vgchartz correctly reporting sony smashing MS, and even after they incorrectly estimated the xbone sold worse than the damn wii u, and still cry xbox fanboy the off chance the xbone does beat the ps4. Ridiculous.
Nintendo could barely handle the jump from wii to wii u, imagine if the wii u had ps4 level specs, we would have to wait even LONGER for games.
Do you honestly think nintendo would be in a better position mimicking the GAMECUBE, their worst selling console? The power gap is a big deal, but the main reason 3rd parties neglect the system is because the nintendo fanbase is not as interested in a lot of their games. The gamecube had the power to run all the games it missed, but when othe...
Well in 64, it was basically a red shell that just homed in on first place hitting anyone else who got in the way. This made it actually useful for last place because if you lined it up right you could hit peoole in front of you. Now its an explosion that can completely screw you over, and pretty much only you. Its pointless how only 5-8th placevcan get it when it really only helps 2nd or 3rd.
Zombi U sold over 700,000 copies... thats a lot. I dont know what ubisoft needed to sell, or where the budget went on a buggy, poorly optimized game with no online features.
Also AC4 was the worst version on Wii U. It looked better than last gen but the framerate was borderline unplayable. Also no DLC support. Tell me again, is it the fanbase with no incentive, or the publishers that make the wii u version undesirable?
If you ask me, they should either remove the blue shell from the game or have it like the one from 64. If anyone plays MK online they know the damn thing can ruin the game, when it appears in someones item inventory everyone just reverses trying to get it to hit someone else.
Hmm, not enough for me to want one tbh.
I hope they make another special edition for bayonetta 2, the one for the first one was awesome.
Zombi u did have that feeling and it was pretty good, but the game never left me with like a deeprooted dread of what lied around the corner. Zombies just dont do it for me, stuff like Silent Hill or Fatal Frame could be literally be made more scary by the gamepad though.
@hicken
I also think Sony and MS should keep making consoles but you'd have to be nuts to call the wii u an upgraded gamecube... i mean its clearly more powerful than the last gen systems, what does that make them? Upgraded ps2's?
Will buy, i think the wii u is such a perfect system for horror games. Imagine running around in the apartments and hospital of silent hill 2... except instead of hiding behind the pause screen map you had to look DOWN at the map for just a few terrifying seconds just like james would... the thought is terrifying to me.
Edit: Wow nevermind. This looks extremely rough. If it looks better by launch i dont see much point in showing it now.
Dat 360 bump, hot damn.
But its clear the next batman is focused on the more powerful hardware. If they cant even port last gen games right, getting next gen ports up and running is probably too much to ask.
Half true. Nintendo fans arent conditioned to only buy nintendo software. just like any other fanbase, they just want good games. 3rd parties, for the most part, are convinced they cannot sell on nintendo platforms and thus put forth little effort compared to other platforms. There are thosr that do see success. Suda51 for example has seen more success on nintendo platforms. The Fatal Frame series has sold better (in the regions they released in lol) on nintendo platforms, even with the first...
Well of course. I didnt bring up the price to make a jab at it, 400 and 500 bucks are both a lot of money to blow.
My point is that there isnt a singular game that can sell an expensive piece of hardware. You dont see one game you want on a system and buy that system, you justify your purchase with more reasons first. This goes for all systems but the xbone in particular because it's the most expensive this gen.
Im talking about the first few years, 2006-2008. After that they pretty much gave up, rightfully so. In that two year period they pretty much did all they could. The problem with xbox's chances in japan is the first xbox flopped there after lack of support, that led to a chain of non existent brand loyalty continuing with the 360. Even if they did everything right with the xbone in japan it probably still wouldnt top 2 million. At this point xbox systems are just a collectors item in japa...
Even then they had lost planet, dead rising, monster hunter frontier, lost odyssey, blue dragon, and a lot of other japanese-centric games that were exclusive or timed exclusive and even with all that they couldnt get their foot in the door.
actually the wii u wasn't far behind where the xbox one is at the same point in its lifetime. the wii u had 3.45 million sold by it's first fiscal year, the xbox one is looking to have a little under 4 if not less.
