I think YOU missed the point of the comment. You just fixated on the "no weapons" part of his comment but he also said no riddles. The bosses of SotC are basically big walking puzzles, so invoking journey or SotC was kind of irrelevant.
Easy to forget how dominant the 360 was in the US last gen given the current state of affairs.
@shaggy
Not gonna say BotW should be a perfect score, but Nintendogs is really a perfect game for what it is, and kind of revolutionary at the time. Japanese reviewers love weird games like that. Some of their other perfect review scores like MGS 5 and Kid Icarus on 3DS are way more suspect imo. IIRC they also gave FFXIII a 39
The open world in the first game was kind of an abstract joke or something. It was my least favorite part of the game but looking back, it is kind of funny how purposefully bad it was.
Wouldn't doubt it, but would be a weird offer to take for Playtonic when most of those employees left Rare because of the shift in direction after MS bought them.
Nintendo should buy them and have them make a new FPS.
^This. It's easy to daydream about what could've been, It's fair to say it would've been the most inspired SH since The Room, but thats not saying much. I think SH should've ended with The Room, or even 3.
You're in luck, it's getting one on Switch next year. And they're adding unfinished content from the original game.
It depends on where your priorities are. GoW 3 has it beat in terms of spectacle (although not by much, Bayo ends with you hurling a God into the sun) but the sheer depth of Bayonetta's combat is leaps and bounds ahead of GoW 3.
Act 3 is the worst part of the game, because they did it right after the other open world segment in act 2. Act 2 was really good if not a little tiring in the end. Act 4 returns to the traditional linear gears gameplay, its worth seeing act 3 through.
Yeah but the funny thing is there's not much reason these games shouldnt run at 60 fps. Capcom for some reason prioritized 1080p output over a consistent framerate. They also didn't lock it at 30 so it jumps from mid 20's up to 60.
Just make them 720p and 60 fps like Bayonetta 1 and 2.
I don't think this is necessarily true. There were a certain set of circumstances surrounding the PS2 that allowed it to sell really well for a long time, true. In 10-20 years who knows how big the market will be, maybe beating the PS2 will be a given for the PS6. On the other hand, who knows how different the market will be then too.
^ sad but likely true
I would argue one of the best years for gaming in a while.
Im with Fox. Dark Moon doesn't have the same level of atmosphere as the original, the music isn't as good, and I don't like the level-based progression. Maybe it makes sense to do that for a handheld title, but it's less interesting than navigating the mansion and approaching it in the more metroid-like way that the original did. Like oh, i got the fire/ice/water ability, what if i go back here and try this - that's what's better about the original. The portrait room w...
Way way better.
At this point, why waste the plastic. The cover art also has that hideous disclaimer embedded on it.
One of the most underrated announcements from e3. Imagine how amazing a remake of zwei, orta, maybe even saga would look if this sells well?
Weird how they never add sidearms.
