I dont remember DF saying anything of the sort in their analysis. They said the game had flat lighting and offered 20 minutes of technical reasoning why.
Its always weird when acolytes from either console try to insist DF are biased to any one side. Its pretty evident that they arent, when they arent making sponsored videos.
Years ago they made a cyberpunk themed Xbox One X lmao... if only they knew
I forgot this was coming. I just can't comprehend how this game will work on the Switch lol
Because the elite 2 doesnt have a share button period
I know people on this site will disagree, but Sea of Thieves was one of my favorite experiences on any platform this gen. It started out barren and boring, but these days im not even able to keep up with everything going on in the world.
Sunset Overdrive was good, i enjoyed ReCore because it feels like a ps2 game (in a goodish way lol). Gears 4 and 5 were some of my go to multiplayer experiences. Halo MCC will always be on my rotation.
But yeah Xbox was...
It took a while to fix, but MCC is always on my rotation these days. Fast lobbies, switching between halo 1, 2, 2A and 3 with dozens of maps (not big on reach or 4). Theres something really novel about getting skins in halo 3.
I never knew Asobo made Flight Sim. Thats a helluva product from a relatively small studio
I just dont see TLOU 2 as an -important- game, i dont see what queues and inspirations will be carried from that game to the next gen. The first game definitely had that impact, but the sequel doesnt. Its funny, i feel like the only person who just thinks TLOU 2 is a good game, but nothing more or less.
I would agree with the rest of your list, but add Prey!!
This is the only Platinum Games game that i just couldnt get into. There was an over abundance of down time between the station, the detective segments, and the moments between combat encounters. Sometimes there was 45 mins of downtime and cutscenes between combat segments, so i never had long enough to get a feel for the combat.
This is just me, but most people i know who buy all digital are casual gamers, and the Series S appeals to them already as a low cost entry level next gen console.
I know a lot of casual OG ps4 owners who came from 360. They buy all digital, get the new madden or cod every year and delete the last one. They bought the PS4 because in 2013, it was the cheapest next gen option and now theyre looking seriously at the Series S.
Nintendo only stands to lose with a gamepass, all their fans buy all their games, and they sell at full MSRP for years after release.
The thing is, the demand would be focused on newer titles, so they'd need to have enough copies of new games to satisfy customers probably playing less than they would for a new copy. When you factor in new releases, the model becomes kind of unsustainable.
If you look at the trailer on youtube, almost universal likes. I was shocked, the same petulant fans that disliked the last direct for having “nothing” but a Nocturne remake and SMT 5... eat up this $60 ROM dump collection
Even besides graphics, i expected them to at least do something. Coop, new content, a race mode. Leaderboards. SOMETHING
Its literally a ROM dump lol.
I played it on the Wii U, and it mightve been the one game that felt like it took the gamepad to its potential.
Also, Switch is at the midpoint of its lifespan where sales tend to peak. Especially if they lower the base model to 249, and even more especially if they come out with the rumored 35th anniversary mario games.
@The Wood
I just hope the interchangeable plates thing persists, the concept is cool. The OG 360 actually had interchangeable faceplates, but for some reason the idea never really gained traction and hardly any were made.
Id rather play Crysis 1 than any Far Cry or Crysis released since. I think in the gameplay department it holds up fairly well for a 2007 game, and its refreshing compared to modern FPS games. Even if this remaster is as half baked as it looks, i’ll get it on sale because Crysis is fun.
Still this remaster disappoints in the graphical department which is kind of the most important thing in a Crysis remaster. It doesnt justify its own existence
Agreed - was about to say longtime tactics series like Fire Emblem or Valkyria Chronicles are basically at the peek of popularity, and finally getting decent budgets
@jbull
I’m not saying the game looks good lol. It needed the delay.
