@Darkride: it's not just gamers. people, today (especially in the US and Europe) are so entitled when it comes to EVERYTHING. it's the reason why the economy is so awful.
as for gaming specifically...ppl should know better, at this point, than to be early adopters. especially when it comes to iffy titles and hardware.

well...they used a last gen engine for this gen...so my guess is, if anything, they'd use the Unreal 3 Engine.

MS teased halo 4 with a 25 second cgi clip. that's all it takes to start generating some buzz. we already know a buncha companies are making games for the next gen, so it's not like they'd be giving away anything we don't already know.
i have been doing some google searches and so far i've come up with a story that started with leaked information supposedly coming from Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine.

I find this news to be rather disappointing as KoA would have made for a really great franchise. Really great lore, good combat system, good story. I, personally, enjoyed it a lot more than Skyrim.
it is a really fantastic game. i would argue it's the best linear, single player, third person shooter i've played.
3 million is a nice number, but it deserves better.

you see, the huge increase in the cost of game development over the last generation was the massive increase in mocap and voice acting. not the graphical leap. that's the engines job...to decrease development time by having as many tools already available for the developers to start working.

Sony has NEVER been a 200 billion dollar company. and 4 years ago, they were worth around 40 billion and have seen a massive drop since then. in fact they went from being worth 40 billion in 2008 to worth about 20 billion in 2009. Sony's peak value came in Feb 2000 when they were worth roughly 150 billion. This was a very brief peak market cap though as the company's value dropped to half that within the same year.

As of May 21st, MS has a market cap value just slightly under 250 billion. Sony is just over 14 billion.
now, MS is worth alot more, and sony has been on a massive decline, but 1000 to 1 is a tremendous exaggeration. it's closer to 17:1
