open-world games are CPU-intensive. 60fps is CPU-intensive. Current-gen consoles have worse CPUs than last-gen consoles but much better GPUs because most games have become GPU-intensive, and CPUs are very expensive. So you will not be seeing a game of this scale run in 60fps at a respectable resolution this gen. You want 60fps for these titles, whip out the wallet and buy a PC. If you don't like resolution, you can achieve 60fps with less than a grand.

22Gb here. Share button kidnapped me and locked me in the basement, but he's not such a bad guy. He just wants someone to talk to.

PC doesn't have perfect backwards compatibility either. Like many games of its era, Age of Empires II uses a strip on its disc for DRM purposes to make sure you only play it on Windows. With Windows 10, the software used for these strips was discontinued for security purposes, making playback impossible where Windows 8 still worked. Compatibility modes don't help either.
I don't know if you even bothered to read his entire post, but he answered that question right at the end.
"I have last gen consoles still to play last gen games but who has time for those when there is a non-stop stream of new games to play."
Which I can understand completely. I never toss out an old console, but I just don't have the time for old games. My new games backlog is huge. I've even got a newish PS3 game I need to play: Y...
In a time when there are so many great developers making exciting games we never could have imagined 20 years ago, there is yet as if a large cliff in the distance blocks our view of what is yet to come. Atop that cliff strides our heroic champion of gaming, Naughty Dog, watching the sun rise on the other side.
To me, it's only flaw was the crushed voice audio from squeezing all the data onto 1 DVD. Many parts of the game sounded like the main characters were all wearing helmets while speaking. Forget that certain villains actually had helmets. You get used to it, even comfortable with it, but I think the remaster will hold more people's attention with better annunciation. As if FFXII's attempt to inject Shakespearean vernacular didn't rub the casual crowd the wrong way anyway.
We could see a continuation of 'XII' or 'Tactics' periodically at any point. If they're remastering it, they want feedback and budget for it from our wallets.

Star Ocean 2 was a great action RPG that starts easy and gets methodical as the game goes on. Roughly 20 years ago by Enix.

We know the specs, and the Switch IS more powerful than the Wii U, but not by all that much. It is impressive for a handheld, though.
I'm not someone who has ever complained about Halo, Gears, Forza, but I do think the reason people point them out is because they are annual or biannual.
Zelda and Mario do have spinoff titles often, but the main series for both haven't had a new game since the Wii.
Nintendo will put Mario out by holidays come hell or high water. Unfinished or not, they can't afford to lose out on Christmas momentum when competing with PS4 exclusives and Scorpio's release.
Nintendo have a long history of acting like unfinished products are ready, if they stand to lose too much (e.g. Nintendo 64, Wiimote)
Voice acting!
I'm calling it now, though I should have months ago:
I think BotW is a remake of the original tLoZ 100 years after ALttP.
I think you meant to say 'Obama'.
There is no way that Microsoft would cut any part of their subscription service. Reports show that for the Xbox subdivision, those fees are where the money is. Software and hardware revenue is down, but XBL revenue is more or less stable.
I thought this would be more or less the same across several platforms, but looking at how drastically different they actually are, it makes sense. Each platform has a different userbase with completely different collective ideals. Fascinating.
Not surprised to see Fairy Tale on 360, my friend used to binge watch it there before he upgraded to Xbox One a couple years ago.
I'd like to see how many people are actually using Crunchyroll on each platfo...
"Of course, the backdrop photo wasn’t of Damascus or a city even remotely close. In fact, the photo was from the original Assassin's Creed game released in 2007."
To be fair, the photo WAS of Damascus. Just an early gen-7 video game depiction of Damascus during the Crusades.
My thoughts exactly.
I would also never put FFXIII ahead of FFVIII. FFVIII gets a bad rep from being massively misunderstood and with a broken but fun combat system.
Blackblades, you can still play online on stages you don't own if your opponent does own it.
Easiest thing for me is to complete a dozen character's Easy Survival, which will allow you to afford even an expensive stage, and limited edition stages and character unlocks only require 7 characters.
Very good point. Witcher 3 is a great game, but not terribly original. There's nothing wrong with games like that. The first 4 gens had platformers copy/pasting all over the place, and yet some legendary titles just collect the formulas together.
Even Ocarina of Time didn't invent any of it's staples, not even Z-targeting, but it is remembered for how cohesive and well-made it is.
