I know exactly what you're talking about. When I first played Final Fantasy X, I completely forgot about the Sphere Grid because I was 12 and scatterbrained. Simply through using the best possible equipment for every area, I got to just before the wedding scene fairly easily. And then Evrae proceeded to beat the crap out of me over and over again.

The funny thing was, as an RPG lover, I had been "grinding" all along the journey, believing that I was getting ...

now, I can understand maybe MUTING AND BLOCKING offenders and reporting users who use overly sexual comments, but "bae" does not strike me as malicious in any way. If anything, I would take it as a feeling of pride in my girlfriend that she plays well enough to make the lonelier gamers think of her as such.

That said, you did say that this "harassment" is happening because your girlfriend is good and YOU are bad. It stands to reason, at least by that a...

Fallout 4 is easily less buggy than even the completely patched versions of their older games, even on console. If you're a PC user, the unofficial patches clear up much of the rest.

Honestly, Fallout 4 currently crashes less than The Witcher 3 used to, less than The Phantom Pain, and much less than console Minecraft. Hopefully you can use that as a metric, cause it likely isn't going to improve much more than it already has.

Elite controllers are generally for the kinds of people who prefer to have basically nonexistent lag by plugging in the controllers, so battery life likely wasn't a part of their design philosophy.

Your cheap tablet is not playing 1080p modern-console-level games.

This is still the major concern for HDR, much like it once was for 4K years ago. Unless you have two-and-a-half grand to spend, I would suggest waiting for next year's lineup of TVs. If at all possible, you want the lag to be about 20ms or less in game mode (which sadly diminishes certain features of many sets), but if you aren't playing highly responsive games (e.g. fighting games, twitch shooters, etc.) then you can settle for 40ms. You may even get lucky and find a TV that can d...

Cutscenes aren't in 60fps as far as I'm aware, they are hardcoded to the original version of the game, which is why they look blurrier than the gameplay. I definitely would not revert to the PS3 version; Perhaps you don't recall, but the framerate is all over the place in comparison.

It is an aging game, but still one of the best experiences in recent memory. If you really need help getting it to play as you remember it, try adjusting either the difficulty or ...

A quote from EgoGrinder on Reddit

"High dynamic range displays require just as much data throughput for so much color and luminosity data. The two leading HDR specs, HDR-10 and Dolby Vision, require no less than an "HDMI 2.0a" spec, which supplants the higher-bandwidth requirements of 2.0 with "additional metadata" required to enable the transmission/reception of such HDR content. There is no HDMI "1.4a" to offer the same boosts to HDR-rea...

I have had NO problems apart from the weird horse bug in Helgen, which was just funny, not harmful. I don't have that strong of a rig, but it runs a lot more stable for me than a heavily modded original Skyrim. People saying that it doesn't look quite as good seem to be forgetting that this is the new baseline for the game, and mods will just improve the game substantially.

Relationship Dialogue Overhaul: If the other dialogue overhauls come out and you install them as well as this, you'll want to check your load orders according to the authors. Basically this mod not only fixes many dialogue "bugs," many of which aren't real bugs but annoyances to everyone, and it also increases the dialogue pool of followers by taking various sentences, sentence fragments, and even ...

Lore-Based Loading Screens: Another classic by Chesko, the same author as Frostfall, this mod is incredibly simple, but effective. This mod adds new loading screen texts, largely taken from the various books and tomes found not only in Skyrim, but also the omitted books from older games. It may not sound like much, but while you're sitting there waiting during the 20-second exit from The Winking Skeever, this mod delivers. Hundreds of quotes.

As a multiplatform owner (I've got almost everything as far back as Super Nintendo, including PC) with an admitted slight bias in favor of Sony, I'm going to try to set a good example here. There is absolutely no need for this to be a fanboy warzone.

I've heavily modded my old Skyrim copy, and I want to share my personal endorsements for some of these mods that are already available for XBO:

Frostfall: If you've played the game before, do...

Sony's first controller WAS an evolution over the SNES controller, this much is true. But the controller design they shipped the PlayStation with was essentially the same ergonomic redesign that they actually had built for Nintendo's unreleased SNES peripheral (also made by Sony) before Nintendo's retrospectively ill-advised move to Phillips brand.

"An average PC runs this game 60+ fps"

I would hope not. Any frames above 60 and the physics engine bugs out, causing sped up collisions and flying buckets and mammoths. Anyone playing Skyrim on PC needs to limit the fps to 60 or even 59 just in case.

Should be (relatively) great on even lower-end PCs, but as for console, Bethesda's track record is not so great. Fallout 4 was an improvement over Skyrim in that regard so I've got my fingers crossed.

It does, the Pro was confirmed by Bethesda to be native 4K. As far as I'm aware, that's the only known upgrade from PS4 version, but don't count out anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, or draw distance improvements. Looking at the current console footage from Skyrim SE, draw distance is even now a sore spot for both PS4 and XBO versions.

I'm no expert, but an eventual port of SMIM might be possible on Xbob, making geometric detail on tables, signs, cups, barrels etc. quite a lot better. Even if you could port it, it will be a hefty size.
