As much as I would like Persona 5 to get as high reviews as possible (and I already know how good it is from seeing the Japanese version streamed), RPG's almost always get their average scores destroyed by critics who never wanted to play RPG's in the first place. I don't know why, but it always happens.
Here's to hoping Persona 5 gets the high praise that I think it deserves, though.
I don't think anyone should be playing the blame game at either side. The cartridges ARE very expensive, that's true. This basically forces the publishers to raise the price, and that does not make them the bad guys. Nintendo couldn't use discs with a handheld, or even go full digital with such a small hard drive, so they chose what was already successful for their handhelds.
All in all, I think gamers should just avoid multiplat titles on the Switch when they o...
MASSIVE FF8 SPOILERS!
Well... While I agree with you, the Ultimecia theory (which has so much evidence, it is more likely to be true than the big bang theory) kind of hinges on the confirmation that Squall does die, but at the END of the game.
In the theory, Rinoa's fragile emotional state, unique abilities, and the whole Guardian-Forces-cause-long-ter m-memory-loss concept after the ending of the game cause Rinoa to use her time manipulation abilitie...
The difference this time is instead of only armchair generals saying you can't tell the difference between 900p and 1080p, we even have Digital Foundry saying it is tough to tell the difference between 1800p checkerboarded to 4K and native 4K. The big tells of checkerboarding are the foliage in a still image.
But, as someone who CAN tell resolutions apart, higher native res is always better if the fps doesn't suffer for it.
@GorillaTact
The brand new 1080 ti GPU and the $1200 TitanX Pascal are the only cards that can reliably run 4K at 60fps for modern games, and even then, you'll often see dips to 45fps, especially when the CPU is being pushed.
You're dead wrong if you think the Scorpio will do that level of performance on anything graphically intensive. Don't get OVERhyped about its power, unless you want to be disappointed this holiday season.
That sa...
I hate to be 'that' guy, because I think this is really great of her and anyone else who ever streams for charity, but you just know that with a high-profile case like this that there are going to be a ton of dirtbags with terrible motives trying to derail the positivity of the stream. Hopefully, I am mistaken.
@TomatoDragon
I think I found a glitch in the Matrix.
thanks for the tip
Nice deadposting. Judging from your hot-headed tone and vernacular, I'm guessing you were too upset to understand what I meant.
You see, this small, particular comment section was completely free of any bickering or arguing before one user decided to vent his teenage drama on an unsuspecting thread. Mentioning that a completely different user base of a completely different website has issues with people trolling each other, while not really noticing that he, indeed, was...
I can't recall too many people complaining of the exact same problem (but worse) with Fallout series (even before Bethesda), Elder Scrolls, various Bioware titles, World of Warcraft, a good chunk of JRPG's, The Witcher, etc.
This is just how narratives pertaining to the "hero" archetype are extended to meet expectations. Countless TV series, comic books, and book books, often use side stories parallel to their own main arc, where the protagonists help thos...
I'm guessing you never played many RPG's
That "dude" just happens to be the only person who had been there in the wilds her whole life, taking care of her as if he was her beard mommy. I think she would take his teachings to heart after all of his sacrifices for her.
If you liked The Witcher 3's side quests, they are basically the same structure. If you didn't, chances are that open world games aren't for you, but the game does allow you to just push ahead with the story.
Hypocrisy at its finest. Not a single person in this comment section until now has even mentioned another system, or even another game (apart from Death Stranding easter egg).
Here's a tip: the YouTube comment section is always cancer, no matter what you're watching.
"I think there’s certain reviews that are written more to get clicked on than they are to actually accurately reflect the quality of the game, and that kind of bums me out."
"Spencer here was referring to the score of 4 given to Forza Horizon 3 by International Business Times UK. It was the only publication to give the title such a low score on Metacritic, which actually dragged the overall score of the title down but which still currently sits at an impressi...
@SpinalRemains138
"What is the Scorpio going to exclusively run?"
The Scorpio UI
@Obscure_Observer
As a gamer, what 'QUALITY' titles have you played this year?
They need to be made into a division rather than a subdivision. But that would be way too risky. They don't get enough budget cause they don't bring in a huge cash flow. They don't make enough money because Microsoft is investing less and less in them.
Xbox gets little wiggle room under the thumb of the Entertainment and Devices Division. Less money, less games.
Restructuring Xbox seems to me to be their only safe move.
You broke through his wall of sarcasm like the Koolaid Man, PhoenixUp.
4K resolutions!
Eh, eh? Nobody?
That wasn't always the case, though. Nintendo's first two consoles killed it with their 3rd party support.
Nintendo don't have to be ass-backwards forever, and I hope they figure that out sooner or later. If they made a real, concerted effort to take the market share they once had they might win back their lost fans as well as make a lot more.
I don't think it is too late to enter the 9th gen with a real console in a few years, and make t...
