@kikidoo:
So, the ps3 plays mkv files?
Support for ntfs usb drives?
Quickly list media files contained on an external hdd?
Anyway, why is everyone who does not share your view a troll?
Sony are not going to extend the PS3s capabilities much further. They will save that for the PS4. To be honest Sony have never seemed to have had a game plan with regards to the PS3s O/S.
Sony are going to have to work damn hard to convince me to buy into a PS4 when it finally comes out.
I purchased R3...its a B+ game at best. The visuals were certainly not indicative of being a Sony exclusive.
Wow. So clever. Tell me, your knuckles bleed when you walk?
Ridge Racer was a solid PSP racer although for me it was only supposed to be something to fill in the void until GT was released...however, when that was delayed several years...
I wonder when GT will see a release on Vita.
given Sony's terrible PSN pricing model for retail games you'd likely find it cheaper on blu ray.
R3 could be a multiplatform game as nothing about it on a technical level suggests it is a PS3 exclusive. As for the story, its tired and generic. That whole sequence on the train seemed thrown in as they wanted some type of rail gun level but what the hell was with the exploding carriages?!?
Quite honestly people wont be talking about this game a month from now.
@muffins:
First off, I'm not a PC gamer. Have not been for years.
Anyway, you really going to pull that old argument out of the bag? I suppose you could be right if you think everyone who games on a PC only uses a PC for gaming. Last time I checked you could do a hell of a lot more on a PC than you can on a console.
Why is everyone branded a fanboy or troll just because they present a different opinion?
Some of the users on this site need to grow up.
@kikizoo. There you go again. Calling someone else a troll because disagree with their comment. What an a$$.
Lets not forget the difference in resolutions over the years as well.
Imagine if a PC only had to render games using Vita's top resolution.
I'm in two minds about them. Sure its good to see the games running in a higher res with better textures but imagine a full on remake with higher poly counts, improved environments, etc.
Does not matter. Fanboys will take theoretical benchmarks as gospel. Take a look at the PS3's marketing hype yet with all those SPUs the damn thing still can't do 720p gaming.
I own 2 PS3 consoles and are fair sick and tired of screen tearing, framerate drops and jaggies.
Because apparently there are those that think the 5+ year old h/w in consoles is as good as that in a modern PC.
Got through single player this morning...was not as good as I thought it was going to be. The IGN review had me all pumped up to play but in the end it was a simple story, no real boss battles (not like in R2) and no real scares. It was terribly linear and on normal mode I only died 3 times throughout the entire campaign.
I honestly found it more disappointing that KZ3.
Multiplayer is still rubbish after the patch. Can't get rid of lag with a patch when there are so few playing it in my part of the world. Hell, R1 had it right as you could pick a game to join from the MP lobby. The lobby for R3 is simply inept.
R3 has for me been even more disappointing than KZ3. Certainly features some of the most average visuals for a PS3 exclusive.
Yeah well, fanboys seem to think the vita is going to outsell just about everything. Maybe if Sony had made the Vita a phone as well so it appealed to the widest possible audience.
How many models of the PSP are there? are you saying that each counts as separate sales?
What constitutes a casual game in your opinion?
