Don't play WoW myself but I'd be ecstatic if I ran a service with over 11 million subscribers. I wonder how many of those 600k were long term members of just those who were on a free trial period or something.
they are going to have to do a $hit load more to convince me to try out home again. I don't go to malls to "hang out" so don't see the point of Home.
Sony should focus on keeping the PS3 ahead of the competition, or at least equal to, with re: media capabilities. My TV has better movie and internet support.
For me Portal 2 on the PS3 looked adequate. Was certainly not the powerhouse in terms of visuals I had thought it would be. I was hoping that your character would at least cast a shadow or cause ripples in the water as she walks through puddles. Nope.
There is no way R3 is a AAA title. Might have been if they had polished the visuals, made the gameplay a hell of a lot harder and had a story that actually made you give a damn.
AAA to me is something like the new Batman game. currently sitting on 98 on Metacritic.
R3 is sitting in the low 80's on Metacritic so claiming its a AAA because some reviews scored it highly is being a bit ambitious. Honestly, after beating it in around 6 hours I was disappoin...
didn't say anything was wrong with it being an A- title, just gamers are spoilt for choice right now. How many saved or are saving their money for games like BF3, Dark Souls, Batman, etc. There is only so much money to go around.
If R3 had been AAA it would have sold more. Unfortunately it was too easy to beat, had a stock standard story and had visuals that could have done with more polish.
Times are tuff for more of us than ever so buying new release means consumers want best value for money. R3 does not represent that, especially when we're being spoilt for choice right now.
Move....more like Twitch. Most of the games that use it you hardly have to move the thing.
After playing Crysis for the first time on my PS3 its easily one of the best FPS games I've played on the current crop of consoles. Although its not as visually impressive as something like KZ2 or 3 its still one of the best looking FPS games on the PS3. The game environments are huge and full of "wow" moments.
Apart from a lack of multiplayer nothing about this game feels like a budget PSN game.
What was so great about the story line?
The narration kept painting a story of the task being impossible and yet you just walk in guns blazing to get things done.
After playing and getting through R3 its nothing more than an A- title. Its certainly not in the same league as many of the other PS3 exclusives. Yeah I'm sure I'll get disagrees but to me R3 needed a few more months of polish before it was released.
Edge can be harsh but at least they are consistently harsh so when they score high you know we have a class game on our hands.
Not in the slightest.
wow, great video. To be honest the graphics alone are not enough to distinguish one from the other. Sure there differences but really, both have less than stellar trackside visuals. I simply hate the look of the cardboard tress in both.
I guess it comes down to which one you prefer playing from a gameplay perspective. And obviously which console you own.
Yuk. Honestly, they look terrible. Imagine if this had been out at review time last year it would have been blasted. Furthermore, what would Sony fans be saying if Forza 4 featured such a cockpit view.
That's a different argument than whether or not one would outsell the other.
I'll bet if R3 and B3 were released at the same time that R3 would be largely overlooked and be the first to have its price reduced.
@thebeast. yeah, I purchased VHS they should work in my DVD.
In NZ you can get a 2TB drive for less.
I'm sure prices will vary from title to title to reflect development/production costs. I just hope Sony will learn from their pricing mistake for Go games. PSN releases should be cheaper than retail and ALL games need to be available.
@trouble
Because I would rather Sony add features of real value than continuing to try breath life into something that's ultimately going nowhere.
FYI my TV is nothing special its just the baseline capabilities of basic TVs seem to have surpassed a device that promotes itself as all singing and dancing.
Finally, you have not made any comment on this article other than to troll my comment. So, do you have any interest in Home or you just...
