To me it's no different than why TLOU remastered on PS4 looks the way it does and UC4 looks way beyond in visuals. StarFox is not a big budget title from Nintendo and it's certainly not completely original from the ground up. So at this point it should be considered a remaster or retelling of StarFox 64. Zelda U and many other games prove that the system is capable of much more...
Koei will praise the Supercharged PC technology in the PS4! Lol
I think Sega should let Nintendo make the next Sonic Adventure game at this point. I'm a huge Sonic fan but Sonic Boom just wasn't doing enough things right for the franchise.
I actually think that Nintendo of today will make both versions of the NX hardware very capable because simply the Nintendo of today isn't the same Nintendo when they were designing the WiiU. Then they still didn't believe that HD would offer much to their games, but this Nintendo is very aware of how much hardware along with great control methods can influence gaming.
Just look at how hard Nintendo is pushing for their games running at 60fps. They now know how good ...
A mobile Fire Emblem game in the vain of Clash of Clans and Age of Empires would be a great avenue for Nintendo. Plus it puts the FE franchise out there to many who may not of tried the main series.
They have an investors meeting coming up right on October 28th, I'm guessing right before then to get a positive news flow going about the mobile initiative, make stocks rise and investors happy.
Pound for pound I think the GC was Nintendo’s best. Granted it didn't try hard to reevaluate how we played games, but it didn't slouch behind the other systems in the specs department either. A little more balancing could have made the WiiU and totally different situation. Nintendo might as well of put $50 more into the initial price and just had stronger hardware and a smaller screen, lighter gamepad with better battery. A $399 close to XbOne spec WiiU could have held its own better ...
If the developers feel that they can't do anymore within the story elements or what is reasonably possible with the game play mechanics of the series, then definitely let it go out on top! Sega should have done this along time ago with the Sonic action games. Sonic's game style worked so well on the 2d plane and in some cases in 3d games. But the overall experience is hard to recapture the same way once again...
Wow, if you couldn't read the sarcasm in that statement... ... ...
Because I guess the Wii never happened, the DS didn't happen or the fact that Nintendo has been in the gaming industry for 30yrs. Most people need to ask themselves why are you so reluctant to have an alternative to the norm? I want iTunes on my android phone but does that make any kind of sense if Apple is actually very profitable with hardware and software.
People act as if the 3ds is some massive failure, but the DS was just an extreme anomaly. The 3ds will top out clo...
From some of the comments I don't think many people are that far off from what the future of games delivery might look like in the future. A generation or 2 from now all three manufacturers might have software subscription applications similar to Hulu, Netflix, HBO Now and Amazon Instant video. Hopefully consoles survive and transition to something much greater and have more of a stable presence in the electronic industry. As each generation goes by its just to fickle in what determines w...
The WiiU easily runs majority of it's games at 720p 60fps, while pushing 2 screens. People over exaggerate how powerful PS3 & 360 are in comparison. For most of the generation games were rendered below 720p and then upscaled. While the PS3 and 360 definitely have more capable cpu's, the gpu easily outclassed both consoles.
The psp could never imagine running games like Resident Evil Revalations or Luigi's Mansion DM. I think people really need to go back and compare actual games as how they looked on these systems before making such comments.
Nintendo selling fake consoles since the late 80's confirmed! Lol
The only reason that I state this is because Platinum has publicly stated that they wouldn't mind being a 2nd party studio for Nintendo and seeing as how everyone is so obsessed with sales of software these days, it would be a much more secure position for such a talented developer.
Nintendo just needs to buy Platinum Games at this point already!
Definitely an Action/Adventure Super Mario that isn't timed levels. I actually would like to see Nintendo play with power up layering since that's something that hasn't been done before to solve puzzles and fight enemies.(fire throwing, tanooki suit metal Mario or a feather cap fire throwing mario).
Definitely more physics based battle elements such as wetting a sand enemy, shooting him with fire and turning him to glass and then shattering him with metallic mario...
I was thinking about something the other day, do any of you guys think that since consoles are becoming more like PC's in the near future we may see a different distribution system of how we buy physical games. Like maybe future consoles will all have hdd, SD and disc drives to allow retailers the options of selling digital key codes or a in store physical download to the medium of your choice.
A distribution format like this would eliminate the need for retailers having ...
This exactly, I think it's way to early to pinpoint what will be the next delivery system for physical games. But as soon as some major player takes a gamble and proves that something else works better, then that will be the time to migrate over from disc games.
The fact that it's ever changing keeps it fresh as well! Games on future Nintendo hardware maybe just viewed as apps instead of one time game purchases with a new installment. Games like Smash 4, MK8, Splatoon and Pokken just to name a few might just receive version updates for compatible NX hardware. Buying a game once and watching it evolve into something much more over time has a lot of promise for the traditional game buyers.
This is the type of continuous OS develop...
