Well people thought the PS3 was going to keep selling really well after the PS4 came out and it would eventually pass the Wii but that didn't happen.
The PS2 had a extremely unusual upstream in sells in the 3rd and 4th year the system sold 30 million units each year and pretty normal numbers in the 5th and 6th year.
But somewhere in the 7th to 8th year of the system it went on to push another 25 million in one year, that's just ridiculous that late in...
I understand that the PS4 is selling very well, but with these comparisons do people think that the PS4 will surpass the PS2 in sells by the end of this generation... It would have to sell 120 million plus more systems to reach that goal. It's nice to be optimistic but these comparisons are pointless. I definitely agree with you that WiiU needs a price drop, but why doesn't this same logic not work for when the NX launches. People think that Nintendo should first of all create a much more powerful system, but price it at the same price as whatever the PS4 and XbOne are at by that time. This makes no sense whatsoever!
