That's what I'm wondering, I've been playing this game and can see why it's gotten great reviews. Its one of the best WiiU games on the system to me and that's a lot to be said. I think people would rather praise broken games and yearly dlc than a game like XCX.
On top of that Monolith has already stated that they want a more story driven game for their next project. This is just the game that they wanted to create this time. 5o I'm glad that they hav...
He just wants to bash it, just check his comment history it speaks for itself...
Honest question here what are people's definition of power today, like what do people consider powerful?
I definitely liked Jack Tretton a lot too! He will probably go down as one of the best straight forward video game CEO's in history...
I definitely agree that this is the best WiiU game that I've played so far! I love games where I can totally get lost into the game world and forget how much time that I've spent playing it for. This gives me so much hope for Zelda U and the next Monolith game that they are working on for the NX.
It similar to how servers work to give information, but because the work load could be divided over a greater scale. It could essentially work smoother and on a more cost effective scale, since it sounds like Nintendo is willing to compensate users when their systems are doing extra processing on the grid to crunch data that is being shared over the network.
The patent definitely reads like this is the setup that Nintendo is aiming for. This is definitely a very forward thin...
To be more powerful than the current systems by a good margin... I guess people will consider that a gimmick now since it's Nintendo we're talking about! The goal post will be moved to Nintendo doesn't have VR next.
Depending on cloud based computing alone is more pie in the sky than what this is suggesting. The more info that comes out about these patents, it sounds like Nintendo is trying to implement a form of Grid computing into the NX platform.
The patent isn't just about cloud based supplemental processing power, it includes that but speaks of a local unit that maybe used inside of your house to perform these functions. Nintendo might let us use a PC for all we know, but the patent isn't just about cloud based computing.
I'm not hating on VR in the slightest, but I don't think it's going to be any bigger than 3d or motion controls ever were. Motion controls took off because they were easy and accessible to demonstrate to the public. The very bad showing at Sony's PSX this year just proves how bad it can go when the demonstration falls through the cracks.
Nintendo could put exactly everything and more that the PS4 has in its box and it wouldn't guarantee the NX gets decent 3rd party support. Nintendo will probably use ARM cores for the cpu, since A52 cores are comparable spec wise to the Jaguar in PS4 and XbOne.
Who knows maybe they will go for A72 cores to give a major edge over the competition in cpu processing power. But the idea of the NX hardware in console and handheld versions sharing the same ecosystem of games wo...
Why is the Vita streaming PS4 games even relevant to this Nintendo patent?
Well it's not really going to get any better unless the big publishers and manufacturers get behind the show and use it as a platform to release new info on games and new reveals. Seems mostly everyone has their own show, venues or vehicles to releasing new info. I would like to see Nintendo take a more aggressive role in showcasing their games here, since the show does cater to a wide variety of viewers.
The World premieres definitely were lack luster this year. Although Far Cry Primal looks really good!
This is how the wrong information gets spread, there will be an article on N4G tomorrow with this in the headline as breaking news straight from Nintendo!
Kimishima directly states in his interview with Time that Nintendo is moving away from the Wii and WiiU brand to cater to their core fanbase. So my guess is that there will be multiple format factors of the NX hardware and each will scale software based on the unit you are using plus supplemental processing power. If something like this takes off, Nintendo will never need to release a new base console again... I definitely can't wait to hear more about the NX next year!
Well they did say a major portion of that was taken to build the game engine for the WiiU, that's something they don't have to start from scratch on. The could easily modify and optimize the current game engine for the NX and have an amazing trailer to show off during e3 with the game possibly releasing in late 2017 or early 2018.
All they really have to do is build onto the world they created for XCX and put another game out in year one of the NX...
How in the hell can you turn this into Nintendo’s fault, as if Nintendo owns Target or something... Wow!
I thought Nintendo detailed what the new accounts system was going to be very clearly. They even put a colorful chart showing how things would work for the extra slow people... So what are you getting at?
It's just not Sony coming up with these ideas that's all! Look at how hard people are going for PSVR as if Occulus never existed or Sony has done it first. Motion controls sucked last-gen but they will be cool using the Move with the PSVR though.
I hate hypocrite gamers! If you hate something you should always hate that thing no matter what company is behind it. Makes no sense that people flip flop so quickly from one week to the other.
