Well if you Sony zealots spent more time and money supporting Sony then flamming every Nintendo article that gets posted on N4G then they wouldn't be in their current situation financially... it's one thing to bring intelligent facts or argumentative points of opinion to the many articles at hand. But you constantly see the same posters on every Nintendo related piece raging on about how much Nintendo sucks and how WiiU will fail! Ok we get it, you won't be buying the system who c...
Because black in any form of electronics always projects a more serious tone. Which is why the Wii launched in white, because it presented a more inviting and less intense approach. Its called market research!
I'm not seeing where people are saying that this game looks worse than both the PS3&360 versions. Even for the game still in development it runs really smooth. The more I see the controls in action and the level of gameplay this will add, the more it seems that this whole second screen set-up will be another game changer this gen.
They should do exactly as Microsoft offered with the 360 and have an entry level Arcade and then a Pro version. Pro being the black WiiU of course with a host of other features such as a 250GB usb hdd, Wiimote+ w/nunchuk, and pre loaded digital copy of NSMB-U and say NG3 since Nintendo is publishing that game as well.
For all of the great hardcore games and exclusive out there for PS3&360 people sure have alot of freetime to come and bash a system all day that hasn't even been released yet...
In what did I state that is so far fetched to believe? Known developers have publicly stated that the console has more RAM, better processor and GPU than the current systems and is a next-gen system and not a stop gap. So its not like i'm going on a tangent stating that the system is 10-20x more powerful or something. I'm simply stating that its more powerful! Which isn't so hard to believe if people even looked at the base of WiiU's specs. Sure we don't know the iron clad...
What I love the most is how people cry realism and graphics and physics. But if you want realistic, isn't it more believable that you would have to check your inventory in realtime? WiiU is probably just the first system to allow this level of realism... People that are affraid they might get shot in CoD because they were checking their inventory should be, that's what adds to the level of difficulty in gameplay if you ask me! For all of a games graphics, storytelling, AI, scenery and...
Why don't you come back and compare a WiiU finished retail game with a 360&PS3 one when the system actually launches... That sounds like it actually makes sense for some reason, I wonder why. (Oh that finished house over there looks way better than the one next to it under construction!) That's how most of you on this site sound in your comments.
Ugh! The hope and wishful thinking of people these days... here's logic, which most of you don't seem to understand. WiiU is most similar in design to the 360 only by the family of chips from the respective manufacturers. But that's where it ends, because not only does the WiiU have a better CPU, but a better GPU and at least 3x more RAM than this current generation of consoles(its more powerful people, get over it!). So if people are judging a multiplat game that still has a good...
Its simple really! Sony fans aren't buying Nintendo anything so why comment? And the WiiU is going to sell instantly to the core Nintendo base so you guys aren't going to persuade them not to buy one. Its like some of you guys are paid to come on sites like this and comment on a product that you don't like...
I personally don't care wether Nintendo releases the specs or not, i'm still getting this system for the first party titles primarily. I know people want to know the specs mostly not to support the system, but so they can justify their claims of it not being much more powerful than ps3/360 or something along those lines. For all we know Nintendo might be keeping things tightly wrapped purely for their competitors sake. As it gets closer to launch i'm sure that's all we'll ...
I think in the end this will be the biggest and best SSB to date! The F-zero Sega developed for Nintendo was probably the best iteration of that franchise.
What doesn't make sense about this rumor, is that EA said they plan to fully support the WiiU and have some games that they plan on announcing this summer! So why would they cancel a game that hasn't even been announced yet?
There's not even a release date for The Last of Us yet! I'm sure it will be a good game in whatever year it comes out, but it kind of doesn't matter right now if the game is another year out still.
Well as most would like to believe that PS3 is leaps and bounds above 360, it just isn't. Maybe marginally but that's it! So if WiiU is at minimum more powerful than 360, it's easily more powerful than PS3 as well. He wouldn't have stated that WiiU runs CryEngine3 beautifully if it was just on par with PS3...
Very logical explanations in both comments! I wish that most people here actually looked at things more objectively this way. If the man says that WiiU can run CryEngine3 beautifully, but then goes on to say that their tech is far beyond what is needed for next-gen. Then that sounds like the console is good enough for me to enjoy games on...
No way man! I'm sure that ps3 can stream communications and gameplay to Vita once it connects. But it can't do it on the fly though! There was a video of BF3 streaming from ps3 to the vita and it took nearly 30 Seconds to make a connection. So how is this trumping WiiU when it not only switches back and forth on the fly, but when the controller itself can actually be performing entirely different functions from what is seen on the TV. No other system can offer that and it's why It...
Great points of this article are
:WiiU at minimum is more powerful than 360
:CryEngine3 runs beautiful on WiiU
So if CE3 can run great on WiiU, I have no doubts that UE4 can as well...
This is actually a good avenue for Nintendo because both Sony and Microsoft try to profit as much as possible off the software end to make up for the losses they usually take on hardware. So with Nintendo seeking to sell WiiU day 1 without a loss, it can afford them to share the wealth around with 3rd party developers even moreso.
I'm thinking by social Nintendo is focusing on living room social gaming, as their many videos showcasing WiiU has the whole family practically sitting on one couch. Either playing a game together or passing the WiiPad. Not to mention that WiiU will no doubt be heavily infused with social Apps such as Twitter, Facebook & YouTube. All functions of which the Wii did not incorporate to take advantage of the whole social explosion genre.
