This generation barely does HD gaming, so WiiU will be the first true HD game console on the market(then 720 & PS4 when they eventually come out). You can't advertise that your systems are So powerful but can't even render every current game at 720p. As much as people brag on the Last of Us, this game really shows how weak the system is! This games depth of field and level of detail is so limited its crazy... things are only extremely detailed in a 10ft radius and anything outside of this range drops dramatically in both resolution and texture detail. They do have to play catch up, but I would never expect nintendo to make a clone of XboxLive. Nintendo is worried that if they create that envirionment, it could ruin their branding image. The only puzzling thing in his words are that there are a couple of unannounced games. Meaning something that EA hasn't revealed to the public just yet! They could have easily said during their conferrence that DeadSpace3 was coming to WiiU. so why hold that close to your chest? My guess is that it's probably at least one new IP altogether and the other being something they haven't shown to the public.

This HD generation as a whole has been a very slow start! It wasn't until I saw Assassins Creed for the first time that I felt this generation was finally doing something beyond just better graphics only. And being honest it hasn't been a complete HD revolution just yet. Until consoles come out that can truly render 720p & 1080p at 30 and 60 fps consistently on intensive games. Then we haven't reached that level yet.

Well Reggie said that consumers would be shocked over the target pricing for WiiU and $250-$275 is a good somewhat shocking price point. $300 is probably about right where it should be for the device. $250 for the Vita was a shocking announcement so a flat $250 for WiiU would probably make people go crazy instantly
