Yes Nintendo has done poorly in executing what WiiU is capable of, but that doesn't take away that the pad has NFC, Bluetooth, Gyro sensors, 6.2inch touch screen and all of this with no lag between the controller and the system. I'm sure the Vita can simulate many of WiiU's features but I would like to see it do the very same gameplay instantaneous with no lag at all. Then and only then can people compare ps3/vita to WiiU.
No and I get that, but its just been a common experience for me there! I understand that there are bad employees everywhere, none more prevalent than at Wal-Mart for sure...
Well not only does it have the usb HDD option but we're not even sure if it comes packed in or not with a SDHC card packed in with the system. Which seems like the most probable option here, since you can get a 16gb card for $11 and a 32gb for $16. So Nintendo could very well include 32gb of expansion memory for probably what only costs them a few bucks maybe.
BestBuy employees are the reason that I go to GameStop in the first place. Someone putting their input into something you are planning to purchase is so annoying and half of the time they don't know what they are even talking about on top of it. I would like to wait until all the cards are on the table for WiiU before people call it a p.o.s! Funny how when 360 launched it had last gen multiplat games ported to it and the ps3 had old 360 games ported to that system as well. But now it'...
And as someone else pointed out, here's the difference from what the WiiU will be able to do vs what systems this generation barely can!
720 x 576 = 414,720 pixels
1024 x 600 = 614,400 (This is where most 360/ps3 games normally render)
1280 x 720 = 921,600 (720p)
1920 x 1080= 2,073,600 (1080p)
Big difference between 720p and 1080p people! It eats up alot of resources just to be able to render in true HD reslolutions. N...
I love how people are saying that WiiU is weak because of this news... Multiplat games that are taxing 360/ps3 are running native 720p on WiiU while it's rendering images on a seperate screen alltogether. Not that the games are native 720p on 360/ps3, because most of these graphically intense games aren't rendering @ 720p. The ps3 can only do HDR or AA if it even wishes to render close to 720p on intense games, so yes most of the late amazing games are taxing these systems and trying ...
Well I hate to be the one to inform you but judging from some of these launch titles. The WiiU has some pretty violent (non kid friendly) games coming to the system...
Oh god, i'm glad the fans believe in this feature more-so than Sony does because maybe it will actually get people buying more Vita's... But if the rumors of Nintendo pricing this thing at $299 are true, it would throw all of this speculation right out of the window. Because I actually want to play a system that's designed from the ground up to incorporate these types of features, not tacked on afterthoughts!
But that's not what he's saying! With WiiU its a gurantee that a developer can include these functions with no problems. But just because ps3 has sold 65million doesn't mean that everyone wants a Vita. So how does a developer even think to include functions like these in for ps3 owners on a whim that they may or maynot have a Vita, or ever want one...
Yes, Vita!
I'm sure Sony thought that 3ds was going to have no bearing on that system at all. So I don't think that they should be so arrogant to just dismiss the WiiU so soon
People that have played games at e3 say its light and comfortable to use and we still see comments like this, of People saying it looks cumbersome. Just wait until you try it out to reserve negative judgement for it!
Well I kind of don't know if I would agree about being blown away by PS3 graphics... That seems a little far fetched to me, but I have seen games that look great being that they are ps3 games in general! Plus I'm not sure if this tablet is kid friendly as most would like to presume its going to be, because it being Nintendo. Its the most expensive ambitious controller that any company has ever made, so I don't think I would give it to my kids to fool around with
The only problem with your view is that Microsoft believes that the 360 has another 2yrs left in the tank before 720 is released. And Sony's not gonna release a new system if they don't have to just yet and the WiiU is more powerful than both 360/ps3 so this argument is getting old. New tech needs time to program for and I fully expect the launch titles to look even more polished when they are released later this year.
The thing that people must remember is the WiiU's final dev kits just went out shortly before E3. So no way in hell these are polished screen captures of a final WiiU game. Now compare the same images to the launch version and then we'll have something to debate. But PS3 owners should be ashamed, because when that system was launch it too received ports of 360 games and most looked and ran inferior to that of the 360 build. Which I don't think will be the case here at all, once de...
True! UK and Japan both get some pretty crazy pricing for consoles
I think the WiiU concept and tech sold me on getting the machine, but Nintendo did fail to highlight what software will better showcase the system during the launch window for the core gamer. When I think about getting these games for WiiU, it settles me more that this system will have a great line-up of games in it's first 6-months.
(:Pikmin 3, DarkSiders 2, AC 3, Trine 2, ZombiU, P-100, Aliens CM, Ninja Gaiden RE and Tekken TT2.) All make for a very well rounded core gaming expe...
I'm almost betting that just as the 3ds came with a 2gb SD card, the WiiU might come with another 8 or 16gb card packed in! These things are dirt cheap and would cost Nintendo less than nothing to get at wholesale cost...
Maybe they meant Euros, because €279.00 = $350.00 and €39.99 = $50.00
@corrus: yeah the WiiU version is clearly sharper and crisper looking in the clothing and everything...
I promise you that I don't care to spin anything for Nintendo! Did they fail to showcase the WiiU in the proper light at e3? Absolutely! But it's stupid for people to claim that the system is weaker or just on par with 360/ps3. And do some research because none of the more graphical intense games are rendering 720p on ps3. Upscaling maybe but not rendering though. As I stated above in a previous post, ps3 can only use HDR or AA but not both at the same time. So when the system can'...
