Well whatever the case, Nintendo i'm sure planned on using the Wii name in some form or another. Just as Playstation is a brand for Sony, people don't actually expect them to use anything besides the Playstation name for its consoles. The Wii brand is in the same boat now and i'm pretty sure it had more to do with marketing than just pure like for the WiiU name. I'm sure the very first name Nintendo discussed was Wii2, but how would the publics perception of that have been mar...

So here's a piece but not the full interview of what he had to say.

Forget the specs I just want to know the price and release date already! That's far more important to me than knowing the size of the WiiU's Wii... lol

This rumor is so old and Dennis Dyack even came out in an interview and said that it wasn't true.

Simply put this game looks amazing, hopefully it plays as well as it looks!

How do you even have 3 bubbles still is what I really want to know?

I agree it is a major balancing act, so i'm guessing that they have to flood the press with info in these next coming months, to get ready for launch then to get rid of any misconceptions and reservations about WiiU.

I expected more out of E3 because I mainly was tired of all the bad press behind WiiU and wanted Nintendo to put the naysayers out of their misery. But in the end you can tell that E3 has become a massive game of chess and it was very clear to me, by just some of the news that came only days after the show. That Nintendo had lots more to show off, but chose not to probably for the competitive advantage in the long run. If your competition doesn't know what you are up to, then it's har...

At $300 its going to sell like crazy! A few months out from launch, Nintendo is going to do that WiiU tour across the states and that really got people anticipated for the Wii when it was released... So I think the same will occur this time around as well. People say things like gimmicky to belittle how successful Nintendo's products have become once again. But if they are just following Apple's lead on always having a selling hook, then there's no stopping this system from sellin...

The WiiU has very current tech inside, why are people hung up on saying it's outdated tech? You have no facts pointing to it being outdated hardware, but even the most recent rumors stirring around have the WiiU GPU being based off of a very current embedded graphics chip from AMD.

This seems like the most legit a capable solution for Nintendo to use as a base for their custom modified GPU in the WiiU. It should be efficient enough and current enough to keep the WiiU relevant amongst the other new systems

@Corrus: Just wow! Is all that I can say after reading that. WoW!...

Nope! He didn't buy those games, because as he stated he likes dark games... like SSB right? Lol
Very dark and serious game indeed.

Granted I'm sure that PS4&720 will be more powerful consoles over the WiiU, but at a premium price tag as well. So even if these next systems from Microsoft and Sony do show a visual bump over the WiiU, you guys will be paying for it regardless!

Well I'm so glad that this isn't coming to the WiiU then. I will gladly play ZombiU instead! Capcom has lost their way in many respects to knowing what their fan base wants. I understand that they made a change in the overall design of RE starting with RE4 to make it more approachable. But at the risks of completely ruining the franchise with this iteration is just ridiculous.

Its no different than what everyone else is doing at the moment. So part of Nintendo Network will be free to everyone and to get the bells and whistles you have to pay a subscription fee. Not so shocking really, I would think that people would expect as much since they are trying to move into the same territory as both Sony and Microsoft now...

Omg! I didn't want to be the one to say that, but i'm so glad that you did. I've read many comments by this poster and the sentences are almost always very hard to make sense of what he's trying to say. But to answer your question, Nobody goes full retard!

Probably because the WiiU isn't compeating with PC's for marketshare and it is with ps3/360 plus the next-gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft. The PC community will always support that community, but console loyalist are as fickle as the wind changes. One day it's Nintendo or Sega until the end, or the next it's long live Sony or Microsoft. People are to territorial and unwilling to try a great game experience on a competing console simply just because.

It does seem legit as Nintendo is one to provide a dedicated DSP in their consoles. But the real question is, if these are reliable leaked specs from a Dev kit, then which version did they come from? Seeing as how the system has improved spec wise with each new Dev-kit, it's probably fair to say that WiiU is more advanced than what is potrayed here in these specs.

Actually those are major steps in graphics over the current HD consoles. That's all any of the next-gen engines(UE4, CryEngine3, Frostbite 2) are touting, better lighting, shadows and particle effects for explosions without taking major hits on the hardware.
