But they are 2 different genres of games. Titanfall is great at what it does for the FPS, and Infamous as I thought seems to be a graphically improved version of past games. Still have it pre-ordered though, and am looking forward to playing it.
I can see why AD705 says chewed up. Infamous was being touted as the holy grail that ushers in next-gen gaming. It might be from a visual standpoint but for the most part it's not doing it as an entire experience.
Playstation centered website gives high marks for a playstation exclusive game. That's to be expected. The reviews so far are all over the place, more mediocre scores than great ones. I still think it's a worthwhile pick up though even if it's just to break the boredom that this generation of games has produced so far.

It's not hard to figure out, granted no game to date has really been a reason to invest in a new console. Infamous might change that, but these consoles are just getting started, who knows what we will see 5-10 years down the line.
where do you see 10 hours of content? Consensus is saying it's running 2-4 hours. Does playing it a second time change the outcome? If not it's just a 2-4 game that won't hold anyone's attention for a year until the real game comes out.
Why did they choose Friday as the release date?
I do, I loved the THQ UFC games. And while EA MMA looked better it played horribly. The sliding across the ring and the wide punches, the button-pressed transitions, that game was just awful to play.
Hopefully they find a nice medium for gameplay mechanics, looks wise it's already spectacular and one of the games I looked forward to with the next-gen consoles.
Both games seem to have lifeless cities from what I've seen. 10 minutes of Infamous gameplay plus the preview plays from the game sites, and the cities seem to be pretty empty outside of mission specific parts.
Watch Dogs all I've seen were trailers and E3 demo, the E3 demo looked okay as far as a lively city but the latest trailers don't look as promising.
I got Infamous ready for download Friday and Watch Dogs will be pre-order for me but yeah...

Honestly Titanfall is great in spurts but there's no real substance to the game. The lack of modes is a let down, no private matches, unmemorable campaign that's not as revolutionary as they think (see Brink). It's just a fun game to play from time to time. I hope MS didn't bank their year on Titanfall, it's not a system seller outside of getting it free with a new console.

It's interesting in how it sounds, but I have to actually see it to know if it warrants such secrecy and excitement.
The game still looks great, and the video was pretty nice. Infamous SS, looks to be the first true next-gen experience, from a graphical standpoint and gameplay not being sacrificed for looks.
While I trust in CD Projekt Red I can't help but feel cautious about a delay considering what happened to watch dogs.
If the game introduces new mechanics then how is it generic? Anywho, I'm awaiting Second Son as well, but honestly from what I've seen it's just like the previous games honestly.
