so much talk of exclusives but out of maybe 15-20 exclusives how many are any good, or even geared towards hardcore gamers?

for instance all those little arcadeish games that were from independents that sony showed I couldn't care less about. I'm sure some people would play them though, but those are used to boost exclusivity numbers so let's not kid ourselves.

this bothers me because we are so close to launch. you have to consider how much of their backend coding and game development was based around their policies, now they back peddle because of outrage?

be confident in your product and what you stand for, but i know in the end of the day they have to worry about the consumer not purchasing the product.

the cinmablend pic was proven to only be 1 game who didn't use the devkit but rather a pc, and people still making it seem like all the games were running on pc's.

I guess people don't care about speaking the truth anymore.

Maybe Crytek's problem is focusing so much on tech and visuals rather than putting together a great game. If you really thought the game was flawed why release it for full retail price?

While Crysis 3 was pretty cool, it was just more of the same from the previous iterations of Crysis, even down to the same weaponry and gimmicky gameplay for multiplayer.

Congrats on having great tech, start focusing on developing a great game now that you have no excuses...

I totally agree, I like to take shots on different games but to pay 60+ for games that last maybe 4-6 hours with no incentive to return to it upon completion is outrageous.

At the expense of not reading the article:

USE THE BOW!!!! It's quiet and a 1 hit kill on unsuspecting targets.

Upgrade the holsters first, nothing like quick switching your weapons. You don't want to rummage through your bag when in a firefight.

Scavenge Everything!!

Run, Duck, Distract..Rinse and Repeat

I still went ahead with my preorder of the X1 only because my brother already preordered PS4.

X1 has the better exclusives that are geared towards what I like and just the familiarity with the controller is a plus as well.

As for the restrictions though I don't really mind as I don't trade games in anymore. The intrusive Kinect though, I definitely will have to see how to combat that.

Not at all, the price tag is a bit steep but they have some cool exclusives that make up for that.

Seems like MS and Sony just switched roles this gen. I expect to hear PS4 with a 350-400 price tag.

can't wait until tuesday, we need to support new ip's

season passes are a way to test the market price of games, so when we start seeing $100 games don't be surprised

It will get lost because it's a new IP surrounded by big time game launches. It reminds me of when Spec Ops came out. That was a solid game but it was going against the giants of Battlefield and Call of Duty.

I don't mind taking a shot on a new IP though.

I applaud the effort of an original IP, but this one may need to be pushed back some and worked on. The gameplay looks like standard beat'em up button mashing, that boss fight was boring. The more they show the more it gives me pause for the moment about my preorder of it.

It's such a blatant money grab and it's a shame what they have turned this great franchise into.

It's definitely a fun experience with others but it's not a game changing great experience. Day 1 purchase? If you have the cash and want to play something before The Last of Us comes a couple weeks later, but it's not worth the full price tag if you are looking for a great game.

I really loved the demo though =]

we have some great games coming this summer which is weird, we have Remember Me, Last of Us, Splinter Cell Blacklist, Fuse, Saints Row 4,

No, this gen's last great game will be watch dogs, which just so happens to also usher in the next gen =)

the show was dull so far, but it has promise. Maybe if I had the game I could get more of the backstory

Well for me it was the first game in a while that really gave you the sense of control as if you're a part of the story. You deciding the fate of the entire galaxy, the relationships that form. It was just a storytelling masterpiece. ME2 did take a dramatic step backwards from ME1 but it set the stage for the good mix of story and action in ME3.

The more features = The higher revenue stream potential. We all are sacrificing something to enjoy gaming nowadays, rather it be becoming inundated with ad's both in-game and on the various networks, or being charged for things we don't even use. It's just what we have to put up with now, do the games suffer because of it? I don't think so, but do the consumers suffer because of it? Absolutely, if we don't like it then don't buy it. No one is forcing us to buy the new ...
