Not to mention the pricetag, that kind of tech isn't going to come cheap especially when the majority of sony fans had an issue with the pricing of the new consoles themselves.
I like your idea of a horror game though using the tech.
I like the cover as is.
@Fyf,
those are a series in games, so there isn't that much of a leap in how it plays. What my point is, is how Sony's idea of a new IP is groundbreaking and usually a Triple A type game.
The came out of the gates announcing The Order which is looking like an instant hit, whereas Microsoft is at a standstill pumping out another Halo and sure enough Gears of War.
That's why I'm shocked pleasantly about Quantum Break, it'...
I'm skeptical of VR, it failed in the past so there's no reason to think it will succeed today.
I can see why they say MS is too reliant on Halo, that's the only game that really gets a big buzz going with them. Whereas Sony has truly stellar IPs and always are innovating for the next big one.
Sony has had Uncharted, God of War, The Last of Us, Infamous, and now The Order.
They are always pushing the envelope with their IPs. Innovation is necessary in gaming.
Whereas with MS you know exactly what's coming, Gears, Halo, Forza,...
I can understand the authors POV. Without a doubt the push will be on when the game is set to release, will we be able to take the reviews seriously knowing that Activision and Bungie NEED THIS GAME TO BREAK EVEN? We already have talks of devs paying off review sites, that's what I seriously think will happen with Destiny.
They poured too much money in it, so a 7 or even an 8 for a review would turn people away as usual lately.
I haven't gotten a cha...
Watch Dogs isn't that bad of a game. Aiden is a stale character, but the action is great and the longevity of the game is astounding compared to recent open world releases.
I'm on my second playthrough, but this time going through trying to finish all investigations etc. With the lack of next-gen releases so far, this one has been well worth the money and time invested.
I clicked on the article to see what the fuss was about. This was my first comment and only say about the game. I can see if I came here simply to troll, but it wasn't the case. So why does it bother you with me having an opinion and voicing it?
I hate when articles come out about the best new thing, it's only that writer's opinion. Some are praising this game already and for me it's not even a thought that comes to mind that makes me want to play it.
it was in the video walkthrough, but i'll search for an article on it real quick.
"You can also go ahead with your assassinations solo. "
http://tech.firstpost.com/n...
it's the opposite. they said certain parts of the game are strictly solo, and you can go through the game solo to, the co-op feature is optional.
It's just about options. It's not a deal breaker by any means but what I find interesting is them saying it would require too much work and then a former UBI animations guy blew the lid off that lie almost instantly.
If they don't want women as the protagonist then just come out and say so, no need to lie about it.
They released the game full price then said oh sorry we know it's a piece of crap, see you next year k? lol They need to give up their NBA dreams, maybe go back to a basketball street series type game, but NBA games are a wrap for them.
I was ready to skip ACU this year. The series has been milked for every dollar possible, but then I saw it's unveil at e3 and it completely changed my mind. From the drop in co-op, to massive crowds, new parkour system. The game looks amazing.
heavy rain was linear? you kidding right? there was so many twists and turns that could happen based on either your choice or just a timing situation. Heavy Rain was far from linear.
I can't believe people are excited over a remastered Halo and a silly experience with Sunset. I'd rather play Uncharted 4 and The Order over any of these exclusives. Thankfully I have access to both consoles so I can get those games when they release. But these games everyone seems to be hyped about isn't what I'm into so I don't understand the excitement. But to each their own.
I'm sorry but the exclusives listed aren't all that exciting, at least to me. For 2014, I'm only interested in ACU and Battlefield Hardline (hoping it's actually playable).
Quantum Break is the first exclusive that actually looks to be a stellar experience to compete with the likes of prowess of an Uncharted and The Order.
I really hope the resolution-spiel begins to die soon. It's quite possibly the dumbest thing to happen to gaming in a while. We grew up playing hideous games compared to what we have now, but we still had fun playing those games. Now it's not even about a fun game, it's strictly about how a game looks.
PS4 fanatics keep lording 1080p / 60fps over xbox one player heads. But now the big thing in resolution is 4k. They go quiet about that seeing how 1080p is now out...
Seeing this yesterday placed it in my top 5 games to get. I liked the campaign of the original Homefront.
@Legacy, I'll forgive your misguided opinion. Me being a Sony fanboy yet owning an Xbox 1? Did I even mention Little Big Planet? That's not even my style of game.
MS does exactly as you said, they rehash the same franchises, how can you say that's not true? And who said anything about The Order being a success already? I said it's a promising title that looks to be the next big franchise.
My whole point is that Sony isn't afraid to take ...
