Great, this is exactly what I was looking for. Hope to see some more reviews from you in the future. I'll be sure to check these out though for the time being.
I agree. I just replayed through MGS4 a few days ago after spending time with the HD collection. Not a perfect game, but to me its a perfect Metal Gear Solid game. Not in every aspect necessarily, but as a whole the closing story was so intricate and addicting that it's one of my favorites.
Might not be the best place to start for new comers of the series or new playstation 3 owners, but as you said, it was pure fan service. A game I can play through dozens of times and n...
Aren't modders working on an online, co-op function for Skyrim? I don't play on PC so I have no idea, but I thought I remember hearing about it here on N4G. From Bethesda's stand point it would be a nightmare, but could be fun. Wouldn't be necessary, but would make all the fetch quests more entertaining. Modders seem to have taken Skyrim in a better direction overall with more flexibility and if they could implement an optional co-op mode I wouldn't be opposed to it.
Hey, thanks for the read. You should link me to some of your reviews or your review pages. I would like to check them out.
I'm also a fairly new writer myself, in reference to reviews. Although I have bounced around through five or six sites as a contributor, I have minimal experience in reviews. Mostly I stick to opinion/blog type pieces. The few reviews that I have written, which is probably no more than 5, can be a very daunting task. Its a subjective topic since there...
Yah, I always thought the opposite. I've been wanting to get into PC gaming because it would be cheaper in the long run. I always see PC games far far cheaper than every console game. Console prices just don't seem to drop fast enough.
I agree, but would also further extend what you said. A lot of sites do have clear cut definitions for each number, but many dont understand that concept. Something like a seven will clearly be marked with "great" or "good", but will light up the comment section with over the top statements regarding the site, reviewer and his credibility. Might as well remove the score and explanation at this point as the review is now an after discussion. Its a debate about a numerical v...
I enjoy fighting games, but I am aboustley the worst player. Im just naturally terrible at fighting games. I get suckered into the roster of awesome characters thinking, "hey, it might actually work out this time." Never does though.
Training mode is pretty much off limits to me. Ideally, its supposed to help learn the fighting mechanics, but man its always so mundane and tedious. Sifting through pages of arrows and timed button presses is not my thing. Probably fee...
I believe Namco was the one who asked for a petition as a gauge. I'm not sure if it was Namco directly or just PR talk on Namco's behalf. Although that's rather vague, I don't have the exact details. I just remember reading comments from Namco/Namco PR regarding a petition and its effectiveness for a PC version. Would be pretty awesome if they pulled it off though and released it for PC.
I read your blog when it was posted and thought it was pretty awesome. As coolbeans stated, it was excellent. Hope to see more blog submissions from you.
Congratulations to all the winners!
Instead, Sega decided to test the the waters of Shenmue 3 with a social mobile game only released in Japan. Which was cancelled recently after a very short run, great idea Sega. With that mentality I have no hope for Shenmue 3 at this point.
Truthfully though, Im rather surprised they have yet to release an HD collection. They were quick to throw Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi on PSN/XBL, but don't even acknowledge the possibility of a Shenmue HD release. Still hoping it ...
That's pretty awesome. Put them on ebay and send me the link so I can buy them haha.
HD re releases would be great. Sega should put together a collection and funnel that profit into shenmue 3.
I dont care how long it takes or how long I have to wait, I want shenmue 3.
Tackling objectives as a team to take down the target sounds fun.
Still wouldn't want it though.
As for as your last sentence goes I would have to disagree. This is only from the stand point of the ps3 version though. 50 hours in and I can no longer play the game. I'm not entirely referring to the lag either. There are some broken quests, broken NPCs and an entire town that I can no longer visit. Those details, plus the lag, makes for one of the most forgetful experiences I've come across.
It could be a great game, but the bugs and technical issues have shown oth...
They have it for 27 dollars with shipping on glyde. Other than that you might have to wait a tiny bit longer to hit that range.
That was an awesome scene, but going back to shadow moses topped any and everything. That part was just unbelievable.
Yes definitely. First time around on dark souls took me around 70 hours. In total I have around 280 hours logged on dark souls.
Its more about replay value and longevity than just a one time experience. 8 hours of gameplay is fine as long as there is something to do afterwards. All these overly cinematic games offer nothing but a base story and although great, leaves a shallow game to sit on your shelf afterwards.

Yah, thats how most games are built. I'm not singling out skyrim by any means. I just feel like they could have scrapped 80% of the "content" and it would have made for a more focused game.
I dont know, I just feel like nothing in the game is fully completed. There are a bunch of great ideas, but they are never fully implemented or just miss the mark. It so much and so spread out that you wont really notice, but afte...
Am I the only one who can't really tell the difference? hahaha, I have no idea what I'm looking at. They basically look the same to me.
Although I have a feeling this won't be approved, I don't feel sympathetic to the situation. Sure, I would be a little annoyed upon finding out that it can only be applied to EA games, especially when it did not say otherwise. Yet, its still a free 25% discounted. Granted most services, gaming related or not, usually dont care or maintain a system to reward someone on their birthday. I still would have been happy to get a 25% discount for doing absolutely nothing. In all seriousness, ...
