Since when is camping in a bush playing strategically? It happens way more than it should. Its always the same thing. Some killcam of a guy covered in leaves or wedged in a rock with only his arms sticking out. People play like cowards on bf3. Still fun, but every lobby has players on both sides that try to play as cheaply as possible.
Ken Rolston was the lead designer for Morrowind and Oblivion. I definitely understand what you're getting at, but he's only comparing it to his previous work.
"If you think Elder Scrolls was great, wait till you check out my new game." That's pretty much how I see it. Dude is just hyping up his game in reference to more popular titles, that he helped develop. Hopefully he is right.
Thats great and all, but like many people have mentioned, the services and online play should be split. If people want to pay to have extra services on top of their account than so be it.
Playing an online game is the same no matter what platform, its a basic service that should be functional with the game. Ive played BF3, COD, homefront and about a dozen other games on ps3 and 360, so what is the difference? Absolutely nothing. Not one single difference. It's always the ...
Printed guides are definitely on the decline. Personally, I still purchase guides if I'm trying to get a difficult trophy or want to learn every secret and detail. For the most part, guides are still more informative and in depth than anything you will find online. Having a copy right by your side for quick reference is always helpful.
How does that logically make sense? Does Final Fantasy have a different numerical scale separate from other games? 8 means it should be a solid game. Not a bad, terrible experience.
@NukaCola
I'm not saying that any of those games are broken, cause they're not. They still have issues that definitely hinder the experience. Personally, I don't think I could recommend someone to play any of those games on the ps3 knowing you'll never get the full experience without problems.
Although, I have yet to go back to NV. That game was a total mess for me and was sold quickly after.
Well truthfully, if you are playing on ps3 the issues will never be fully fixed. Fallout 3, fallout new vegas and oblivion still have major and minor issues. So, don't necessarily expect for it to be "fixed" in that sense. You'll just have to enjoy it for what it is.
"the wii u will be full of games like this. the wii was full of shovelware and now the wii u seems to be going down the same route. if im wrong then where are the games for the wii u other than this chase me game."
-The wiiu isn't even out yet. Im sure it will have a plethora of party games seeing as how their fan base encompassed most of those games. If Nintendo can get back into gear with 3rd party support plus they're 1st party IP's it will be a great...
Yah, I was kind of surprised that F zero didn't get released on the wii. That's almost a guarantee it will be on wiiu, along with star fox I'm guessing.
I read the entire article and thought, "Hey this could be a pretty cool opportunity. All I have to do is submit a post and I'll have the chance to work with the nowgamer team."
It all sounded great until I saw this..."Please note, this is an unpaid position. You should only enter if you're able to contribute to site on a regular basis." So basically, the winner would then have to contribute on a daily/weekly basis for free? Not much a prize if you ...
Pretty much what I hate about current gen games. Less user input and more cinematic flair. Doesn't make for a great game though. Makes for a very mundane experience on the user end. Some gamers enjoy that cinematic experience, I for one dont. It turns into less of an actual game and more of an interactive movie.
The actual demo isn't to impressive. But, the idea of the implementation is. It just has to applied though. I mean, I'm definitely interested to see the use of the tablet in Nintendo games. Should offer varying options of gameplay experiences.
You pretty much summed it up. I would go over to my friends house everyday after school just to play some split screen bot multiplayer. Good times.
Im sure most gamers this day and age could care less about playing older games. For me, its more about the ability, means and preservation of gaming than just moving on to the next "best" system. I always try and keep my existing consoles for when B/C is removed, but as I stated above I have a tv with 6 consoles hooked up and another with 5. Its a bit extravagant, but the only functional way I can play the games I own.
If ps4 decides to remove ps3 compatibility than...
Backwards compatibility is a high priority for me. I enjoy playing my older games all the way back to NES. Moving forward, its just more functional when the system offers that option. If those features are removed for cost than I understand, but I hate having so many consoles lying around. One tv already has 5 systems hooked up to it and I'll possibly have to buy a 6th once wiiu comes around and removes gamecube functionality. Maintenance and upkeep it starting to get expensive just to pl...
Its pretty cheap now. You can pick it up for like 15 bucks or so. Well worth the price tag.
The vita is the savior of gaming? Don't you think you're exaggerating a bit? The drawback to vita is also its main selling point, the fact that its portable. Handhelds offer great experiences, but I dont see a handheld taking over as the "savior of gaming." It will, more or less, be just another handheld with great graphics as a factor. I dont mean that in a bad way either though. Im waiting to see more games in action.
I personally think its a bit pricey. H...
@wynams
Yah, now that you mentioned it I just realized that to. I played two worlds 2 quite a bit on ps3 (around 65 hours), but my save file never reached Skyrim proportions. Not sure how that works though. I guess its tied to the engine Bethesda uses? Could be a number of factors as vitz3 states.
Its not necessarily the open world that is causing the issue. Its that skyrim saves every single detail of every single action. For instance, start the game, kill a mudcrab, store a sword in the inventory, come back to it 75 hours later and the sword will still be there. All the miscellaneous actions have to be accessible at all times so it puts a strain on the ps3 as well as 360. Not that the game is perfect though cause I'm sure there are other factors as well, but the way its implement...
-Online passes do not combat used sales under any circumstance. Its mainly a profitable option similar to that of DLC. If you buy new with a faulty code, your code expired (happened to me for dragon age) or you need to activate it on another account you will be out of luck. Well, for the most part. Will the developer or publisher give you a free pass because you bought new? No, of course not. Online passes make money, so regardless they are here to stay. People are still buying used and renti...
