We've known well before the release of Hogwarts Legacy that Nintendo has needed release a Switch 2. This is extremely old news.
But Sony and Nintendo love having Phailure Phil hang around! I'm sure they're glad he hasn't been replaced yet!
No chance of a new generation anytime soon, not counting the upcoming PS5 Pro. It'd be too expensive, and developers already have to make 2 versions of Xbox Series games, if MS released another console, they'd be stuck making 3 versions of each Xbox game! YIKES!
This is where Sony made the right choice, so far only 1 PS5 version needs to be made, but perhaps next year when the PS5 Pro comes out, 2 versions will be made.
Actually this is good news! Screw Ubisoft and their greed. I want to see them tank, especially after the way they've treated their employees.
I used to love the AC series, pre-ordered the first 5 games in the series even. But the yearly cycle was producing less and less polished games year after year. It all came to a head with Unity's disastrous launch, a release so messy that they gave away the story DLC for free and had to release new patches to fix rushed out pa...
Snubbed? Nah, could have seen this a mile (or rather a year) away. The game always came across as yet another unfinished, undercooked Bethesda slog fest.
Should have been held back for Switch 2 next year.
I've always wanted Nintendo to develop in-house a big budget mainline Wario + Waluigi 3D platformer. Give Mario a break and let the goofy bad guys have a starring role for once!
Wario Land on GameCube was okay, but developed by Treasure and not in-house by Nintendo.
Holy shit, I was going to crack a joke about how "Switch was the other half", but it actually turned out to be true, no joking required!
I thought MS was going to turn their fortunes around starting with the release of Starfield?
Well of course, its hard to simply abandon roughly 90 - 1000 million players, wouldn't it? So yeah, expect a long cross-gen period just like PS4 and XBO went through. I know the Switch has sold over 135 million units, but I'm talking about unique players, as an example, I own 3 Switches, but I don't represent 3 total players.
They just couldn't go a single holiday season without releasing another one of these shitty games. As if the market isn't already flooded with these games at this point. Bobby Kotick has famously refused to delay games, and yet for some reason Activision has continued to thrive. Says a lot about how stupid gamers are, constantly and recklessly throwing their money away at trash-tier publishers releasing trash-tier games.
What a shame.
I've turned my back on Xbox after the 2013 DRM debacle, I am most certainly not part of the Xbox community anymore, and you have no one to blame but yourselves for that.
This idea needs tweaking because there some here that are constantly posting flamebait, just to get people annoyed and riled up. Do they deserve to win anything? If so, think of backlash it'll create.
Getting rewarded to be rude or a troll isn't going to foster a good community. This idea would work better if the worst of the bunch received perma-bans first. But then again they can just keep making new free accounts endlessly.
So the only solution...
That's like selling diamonds to buy a used toilet seat. 😂
SECOND movie.
A remake of Shining Force 3 (all 3 scenarios into one game) would be a good place to start.
But this is Sega, so good ideas aren't allowed.
Sega has always forced crunch culture on their developers. Hope they got some decent sleep during that time, but most likely not.
I really enjoyed GUN back in the day, but the developers who made it, NeverSoft, have either left Activision, left the game industry entirely, or were forced to give up their souls to endlessly work on Collar Duty.
Such a sad state Activision turned into once they found their cash cow, nearly everything else fell by the wayside.
MGS 4 runs unlocked on PS3, use night vision to permanently increase the framerate and get closer to 60 FPS. The trade off of course is that the game now looks horrible covered in green.
If it ever gets ported, the third-rate dev team that Konami hires to do the porting job would have intentionally lock the framerate down to 30. I can imagine their PR excuse now:
"We locked the framerate to 30 FPS in order to authentically re-create the original MGS ...
If anyone still owns the original hardware these games released on, I highly recommend playing these great titles on those platforms, especially if you still own a CRT TV, but if not, that's okay too.
The original releases have less bugs, better textures, better framerates, better special effects, better controls, there is also no voice acting replacement for Campbell that sounds completely off like in the HD re-releases. They can be easily emulated as well on both PC, ...
The best reason to buy a Series X is for Xbox and Xbox 360 backwards compatibility features. There's a lot of those games I'd like to play again at higher res and frames, but I'm not willing to pay a high price for a 'backwards compatibility console'.
