No other company has the money or desire to enter the main console market. At best companies can put out an Android box, but no one else out there can compete with the big 3.
If MS exits console gaming no one else is going to spend the billions to fill in that gap. You'll need masterpiece first party exclusives to get people to pay attention to your box, who could offer that? Also even if they were successful, they'd be running at a loss for a decade or more until t...
Definitely no Guy Savage.
Yeah the faces look different, its bound to happen since its been a 20 year gap now. I prefer the original more, but the good news is that the 20 year old voice tracks will be back, so at the very least the voice acting won't be any different, the one thing we won't have to complain about.
The original soundtrack needs to return as well, I'm also okay with a modernized soundtrack, as long as its an option, and the original is still available.
I can't find the exact amount the 3DO launched in AUS, but in the USA it was $700 USD, and adjusting for inflation that's $1,360 USD today. Converting that to AUS is around $2056 AUS in today's money, so yeah, it dwarfs the PS3's launch price by a massive amount!
What was the 3DO launch price in Australia? It was possibly higher than even the PS3.
He should be doing that anyway, the moment he canceled Scalebound, was the moment he needed to be canned.
Half the show was okay, and the other half I skipped through. The new hardware reveal was embarrassing. The best I can say is that it wasn't as bad as previous MS shows, then again they really had nowhere to go but up.
Just a reminder that many people were hyped for Gears of War 4, Redfall, Starfield, and others, but ended up disappointing. Stop getting too hyped up over games because inevitably some of them will let you down. But here's hoping that some of them tur...
Both games can move aside for Astro Bot.
$600 for a 2020 console that is already not selling well? Laughable, absolutely laughable. Consoles should be going down in price, not up! Adding an extra TB of storage costs them literally pennies!
If the Pro comes out at $600 this year, these Xbox variations will get destroyed.
Gonna disagree with the others, this isn't a good place to start since there are story threads that have more impact if you play the games in release date order. I can't go into further detail without spoilers.
Play MGS 1 and 2, they're short, amazing and well worth playing! Skip Twin Snakes if anyone tells you to play that one.
There are no 'handheld wars' since only Nintendo offers exclusive games on their handheld (I'm not counting Switch emulation).
Without exclusive games, they all play the same games, and thus really just a variation on the same platform. Nothing worth warring over, or even thinking about.
Game had a rough dev period, but it looks like it may have been worth it. Hoping the game will offer optional stealthy progression instead of slaughter. As always don't assume a game is great until you've played it for yourself.
It costs $80.99 CAD, and they offer free worldwide shipping for orders over $80 CAD which is perfect. So I'll likely pre-order it from them as well! This lesser-detailed Astro Bot plush seems to be a Canadian exclusive no American store seems to carry it, only Wal-Mart Canada, which sells it for $20 CAD.
However, there is a more detailed version available on FanGamer for $32 USD. Personally, I want to own both!
PlayStation blog post that details pre-order bonuses.
"Exclusive to PlayStation, players who buy the game on PS4 or PS5 will also receive bonus extended prologue animations with never-before-seen deleted scenes."

Why pre-order a digital game?
Why pre-order a digital live service game?
Why pre-order a digital live service generic looking hero shooter live service game?
Hold onto your money.
I still boot up GZ and mess around with Camp Omega soldiers, going on a slaughter rampage for fun.
Still holds up great in terms of mechanics and visuals nearly a decade later.
I own PS VR 1, and it is packed with tons of games to pick from in nearly every genre you could think of. While the technology may be rudimentary compared to newer headsets, it still works, and is fun to play, which is what matters most.
Its a shame that PS VR 2 is having such a slow start, because the tech behind it is brilliant. Its currently on sale for $100 USD off, that needs to be a permanent price drop.
We need more first party games on PS VR 2, t...
We've known the answer for 9 years now. Nothing left to find out.
So much potential wasted, I can't believe Sony never ported their entire first party catalogue of PS VR 1 games to PS5, if you don't own (or plan to own) a PS5, its pointless to get this just for PC VR gaming. Toss in an overpriced adapter box, and yeah its a hard sell.
If there were more PS VR 2 games, PS VR 1 games ported, and a cheaper box, this would be a much easier VR gaming route to take. Hopefully next gen with PS VR 3, its compatible with PCs straight away ...
Agreed, Ubisoft is trash, even if it weren't for this bullspit online installation requirement, I doubt the author who wrote this trite is correct. Ubisoft hasn't learned squat, just another filler throwaway game.
