I agree with everything but the E3 thing. That wouldn't make sense for games like Splatoon, Xenoblade, etc.. to say "hey, we're killing the console you're gonna buy those games for".
Wii U is already a dead console. Why would anyone think NX is replacing the handheld while it's doing great. If you're thinking Wii U isn't dead, wow, 2.5 years on the market, 3 holiday sales boost equal less than 10 million units.
I already called NX as their new home console that will launch in fall 2106. My new prediction...Zelda will be a launch title.
@-Foxtrot AKA the lego games way!
Nah, that's a third party exclusive.
That's a double-edged sword. In their lifetime, pretty much all main characters have been overexposed by having home and portable consoles for 30 years, now they're adding a 3rd media for milked to bones characters.
There's also a quality issue, will they down the quality they're known for because the games can't cost more than a few bucks.
Talking of price, how will they charge 60$ for a similar quality when the mobile cost would be let s...
In comparison, the PS4 started in 2008 and was announced and released in 2013. So that's a mixed message with the NX announcement today. I think we're less than 2 years away.
I call November of 2016.
That'd make sense, because at some point a third of the PS4 owners were not PS3 owners in the last gen. I don't know if the ratio is still the same, but for the sake of the argument let say it is. That means 7 million PS4 users have never played the Uncharted series. So there's a potential there for that remastered trilogy just before U4 and I know a bunch of us would replay them anyways.
A release for the end of August or beginning of September would be great, bu...
I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a remastered Uncharted trilogy in the fall building momentum for U4 and collecting a few bucks on the way.
Are you saying you played it in 5 hours and thought this was the worst exclusive (though that would mean you call yourself stupid for buying it on the first week like you said) or you don't what you're talking about and you liked the sound of that bandwagon?
I'm one of those 600K stupid who bought it and the universe is awesome. Should it need to expand in the sequel? Sure. But I also think the first Assassin's Creed was a worse debut than the Order, but also ...
They do, the same way Nintendo games get it so easy. M$ games are somewhere in the middle.
One of the most recent example (besides 1886) is Knack. I grabbed the game a few weeks back when it was 10$ on that PSN sale and I was honestly expecting a fat stinking pile of trash based on that 54 on Metacritic, a lot of 40 and below...Boy was I wrong, sharp presentation, great gameplay, frustrating at time (which is awesome). Story is okay, so would I give it a 10, no, but the game ...
Features I don't really care about but could be cool :
-Self-updating
-Suspend/resume
Features I would really want :
-Cloud size
-Change gamer tag
All the other features in this article are useless to me.
I wouldn't count Sully or Chloe out. But I do think his brother is the front-runner.
The only harm these reviews have done is to the gaming reviewers in general. The pre-review articles and then the reviews made it clear many people wanted this game to fail.
So why is it successful thus far, maybe because people are not as brainless and bandwagon jumpers as reviewers are.
I wish so bad they would update us on Shadow of the Beast. Ever since the PS4 has been announced, this is my most anticipated title.
You do know that's a game in the very beginning of the second year of the PS4, right?
Uncharted is meh compared to Uncharted 3 and inFamous looks shitty compared to inFamous 2.
Engines evolve so even if they're not maxing the PS4 at the moment, they still very much have limitations. I thought this was common knowledge.
Most of them are gaming columnists, big difference. Journalists report facts, not opinion.
Hold people accountable for opinion, that doesn't really make sense, unless they report things as fact when it's not real and that's why I have issues with how the Order has been treated. Report that the campaign is 5 hours long based on a youtube video..okay..play the damn thing, get that chrono on and see for yourself how long your first run is and spread the word then.
That's roughly what they would have made this from 250-300k copies on PS4, that doesn't make sense. If so they're deep in stupid goop.
Sure it will come on it time, but the appeal for a let's say 6 months old game for top money won't be the same. I myself will wait another 6 months for the game half price.
Are you for real? Unbiased reviews are more rare than albinos tigers. Good reviews are a thing of the past pretty much, in the gaming world anyways. They're entertaining at best.
Broken and not fun.
2017 would make them slow as hell to rectify an issue and that would hurt the brand, they have shareholders that loved that Wii money but hate the Wii U money.
2016 gives them time to prepare softwares AKA Zelda and more for a big launch and relaunch of their home console possibilities.
