I don't really get this obsession with budget of movies or video games for people with no skin in the game. Is it to justify a success or bash a failure even further? What's the point in that. Plenty of projects make great money but are bad, and plenty lose a bunch and are awesome and everything in between. Like AC Valhalla reached 20+M players but I hated it and quit after 5 hours, do I feel bad that it was a financial success? Nope, glad it reached an audience and most people liked ...

Movie budgets are not public, it's estimates, rumors and industry leaks. They're never the actual numbers.

I get that games sometimes change protagonist in sequels but in that case it doesn't make the slightest sense. That's like asking if they'll stick with Bruce Wayne as the dark knight in The Batman sequel.

Jin is the Ghost, the whole game was about him choosing the Ghost over his samurai status and values.

I do think we'll see a Ghost copycat that could match Jin, whether it's ally or foe.

10 millions after the false rumors, the bashing, the complete hate online from people probably just listening to cheesy Marvel movies. Yes, it's a success.

Sometimes, when you swing for the fences, people won't be up for the ride and that happened with Part II after people heard a certain character dies, but I think in the future if not already, this game will be up there amongst the greats even for most of those of said they'd never play it.

"Sony doesn't get paid by MS"

Right, Sony gets paid by MLBAM who gets paid by MS.

The only one I disagree on is the Director's Cut one. I think we'll see one for The Last Of Us II with either or both a new DLC and the MP. Besides that I don't really see another one.

Sales don't really matter when the game got trashed hard by critics and users. I really enjoyed it but you won't see a sequel get greenlit fast or at all with these kind of reviews. Best case scenario, their upcoming game is a hit, more and more people ask for a Days Gone sequel and with the new experience Bend gets to do it.

Mine is Biomutant.
Trailers were nice, the concept is awesome, but the execution is so bad.

The Ellie and Joel discussion after she escapes and then brings up the Sarah subject in the first one is just heartbreaking and awesome, that's a turning point for both characters. In part two, I feel like the "he was just...ready" scene is underrated af, you really see how Owen got his moment of clarity where he was really young and hopeful as a Fireflies and just died inside by becoming a WLF, he wasn't cool with ending like this old scar.

Looks like that Thor pretty much has the build of Eddie Hall with some added fat. Sure, any human with that physique would be slowed but he's a god, it's fantasy, for all we know he will as fast as Kratos in the game. Your point just doesn't make sense.

Sure, because E3 was such a huge deal this year, or last year...gtfo

Hopefully they'll take serious hints from what AC Syndicate to switch from Peter and Miles, that would be my perfect sequel, but even if they don't, I know it will be amazing.

I agree with 1 and 2, I'm not mad at the other choices except maybe Control. Even if I'm at my best mood and cool to everybody, I'd say Control is average at best. No Death Stranding is also a joke.

Hm, he's not a Sony employee though, what's your point?

What are they doing, the hype was dead with this game and then went back up for some because of the trailer and the the release date reveal and now this.

I also disagree, I ended up not finishing it. It had some of the 2016 magic but it shifted the difficulty way too much around running all over the map while every single enemies know where you are at all time, all of them very OP. All of this on Hurt Me Plenty. And while the soundtrack is cool, the visuals were very much what I would have expected in 2013 not 2020.

Thing is so many people fantasized about what TLOU2 would be about, what's up with Ellie and Joel, is that hanging girl in the past and in fact Ellie's mom, etc... It did its own thing and I think created a beautiful sequel. If you like or not is based on whether you can accept the choices the creatives took may have gone against the idea of what you had of it. Sure it was messy on its construct, but only because it played the game of making you feel something at first and then giving...

I disagree, it does not follow directly KZ3 which many would have wanted because it ended with a cliffhanger from what I can remember but it's still a really good game.

Probably a mix of less redundant assets and compression playing a bigger role this gen.

Any brilliant and complex work is usually divisive. The first one was a great game, great setup, great pace, but the complexity of the story was very low, it was pretty much loss and grief the game. Part II decided to answer the first game biggest questions, killed its darling and injected tough subjects relevant to our every day lives but in the world they set up in the first game. It grew the world, grew the characters of the first game.

Somehow I think some people wanted...
