They sold the PS4 to the first year crowd, 2015 will be the price drop crowd, 2016 will be the new look crowd, 2017 new price drop crowd, etc..
Sure it's selling well but those little things can transform a good year for the PS4 into a great one, some users just wait for these. More users means you sell more games and more ps+ subscriptions = more money.
Sure, they'll probably use this in a new model to reduce the price but they don't have to change the shell to do so.
I'm so eager to see who/what the Arkham Knight is!!
That's how you know you have a great ending, because my take on Joel is not how great of a father figure he is, but more on how weak he is. The guy is effed up by aging, the evolving situation with the virus, and injuries, on top of that he lost his daughter, then cut ties with his brother based on ideology, then he lost Tess and was about to loose Ellie.
To me, he simply went Murtaugh on the situation and decided to live "life", and that new life needed Ellie i...
@Mr_cheese Without going into spoilers, though I agree with you at some level, I came to the conclusion that he had no choice, it was too big. In comparison, Joel's could have easily gone either ways. But in both cases, you ask yourself what's the motivation, selfishness or protection of others.
Kind of like the Gone Girl ending, dry and let the viewer ask himself if he would have done the same thing and how it will play out with the decision the protagonist made. I like it.
I agree, they needed a boost and got it, now they're at the step of evaluating the effect of that boost on the brand. If it goes back to not so good sales, they could drop it back to 350$ permanently, which I think will happen anyway for both consoles this year.
Or it may just be that he retires and/or fake his death, no spoiler here.
X1 got a boost from a 350$ price tag while in a Black Friday and Christmas season, and that was only in the US. We'll see how it goes in at a regular price and regular situation.
There's some Savage Starlight potential in there!
Misunderstood, nah, that's the wrong perspective because it blames the consumers. It was "mismarketed" :), the name is dumb and that controller is awful.
It was also sold 100$ more than the Wii and casual gamers don't pay big bucks for their system. 3DS had some of the same issues at the beginning and Nint just re-did them (price, features most users don't care about).
And finally, I know a lot of you guys don't like this argument be...
I still think the Arkham Knight is a host for Joker's mind. Not that a Batman game wouldn't work without the Joker, but like you pointed out this series was about Batman vs Joker with some very good side stories. It would either be a Krang like situation where Joker's brain is in the Knight and can control the robotics or Joker prepared his legacy and someone helped him build an AI based on his principles.
I also hope none of the Justice League shows up unless Roc...
In a game that pops out every year, I'm baffled at how little the percentage is of head scanned players in NHL. 10-15%...how hard is it and at that they could at least hire some artists who can at least create a player that look like the actual one, the ones they have right now must be half blind.
How is it with other sport games like The Show and NBA 2K?
Not that much, I'm down to 1 trophy before platinum but I can't get to have great partners to play Garden Ops at Crazyyyyy difficulty :(
@mikeslemonhead I have nothing against Microsoft on this one. I get that they wanted to start it asap but they might have missed a chance to compare this attack to the earlier one as they probably tweak the security put in some logs.
Sony went the smart way and Microsoft not so much.
That's like starting your laptop after it's been in freezing cold for a while. Everybody knows you should wait for it to come to room temperature and a little more, but many start it right away but scratch their head if it starts acting funny.
Microsoft started their services right away but faces issues today. Sony are making sure everything's okay before starting them.
Sorry, but...
Unlikely, unless Nintendo pays for the whole dev again but even then I don't see it. It didn't bomb like some others have said but it lost Nintendo some money so why would they approve a sequel.
Tbh, I don't even think Nintendo believed in the game or thought highly of it, else why would they have not created a Wii U B2 bundle. Truth is they had some issues with 3rd party support and not that many 1st party games on the horizon, they saw an opportunity to build a ...
I highly doubt they'll throw a console hail mary by releasing a new one shortly with higher specs than PS4 and X1.
This would be a big F U to their current wii u owners and in a world where exclusives are selling your console, not sure Sony and M$ have to worry their fans will gave up Kratos, Nathan, Killzone, GT, Forza, Master Chief, GoW, etc.. for Mario, Link and DK.
They had a chance to make a splash with the wii u but they decided to be ultra careful ...
Must be hard because some areas of both PSN and Xbox Live are down...
Mainly SP games' MP part is usually not that good. I may play them a few times. I can't really remember an awesome one.
