Really excited for this.
It's intricacies like that which truly have my appetite whetted for the game. It's going to be another week until it gets here, but i'm really excited for it.
I like that your life counts for something, rather than dying being just some mild inconvenience along the way.
Anyone think that this could take Game Of The Year, or do you think the fact that it won't appeal to your mainstream audience might harm it's chances?
A huge chunk of yesterday was taken up looking at reviews, message board feedback and trying to find a decent UK price for the game [eventually settling on Videogameplus].
I can't remember the last time a game crashed into seemingly out of nowhere and took people so much by surprise - and into turn filled folks with such enjoyment. Especially within the gamers for whom it isn't about consoles, but *games*
No video review from IGN though? Real shame.
My f...
Just figuring out where to get it from and whether to go for the standard release, or the deluxe with the guide/artbook/soundtrack.
I'm not normally one for strategy guides at all, but I get the feeling I may just need one here and there on this blighter.
The more videos I see, the more my jaw drops.
I wonder why IGN haven't been arsed to review it yet?
I agree with some of the feedback on Edge's site that the review really doesn't clue you in very well to the mechanics of the game.
Strangely, I find myself really enjoying what Gamespot has to say for once. Really enthusiastic and informative review.

I'm pretty sure I'm getting this game. The more I see and hear about it, the more I'm captivated by it.
...
Really does sound fabulous.
Import time, I'm thinking!
Having not played my PS2 for ages at the time, I bought this following strong recommendations from friends and when it came time to play the blighter it turned out my PS2 no longer worked. :/
^-^
If you lose all your powers when you die and have to get back to that point to reclaim them .. is it not a universe harder to be going back through things you've already done with less power than before?
Did you try the online aspects and do they work well?
And the name stuck in my mind then. Cheers Luke!
I like the look of the game a lot, the difficulty sounds a challenge [especially after enjoying Resistance:Fall Of Man and Halo: ODST *more* on higher difficulty levels when playing second time around] and that certain something different Demon Souls looks to bring has piqued my appetite massively.
The online stuff in particular looks incredibly creative.
Also, I thought Edge were supposed to hate the PS3 ...
But ODST *feels* different.
I love that it feels more stark and lonely in places, that being so much more underpowered than the Master Chief brings forth more of a sense of venerability and panic after a few shots [the voice work adds to this wonderfully].
I've been genuinely taken aback by just how much I've been caught up in the atmosphere of the game.
Considering a few weeks back I must admit it had drifted from my radar quite a bit, I'm so glad I pi...
Shows that they love games. ^-^
Which goes beyond bias and the baffling "system x is better than system y" sausagefest that seems to perpetrate so many of the opinions on here.
It's.
About.
Games.
^-^
"Sa-yoo-purrrr!"
"Awesooomeeeee!"
Showcases perfectly just what a joke Gamespot has become.
I'll stick with Gametrailers. A more insightful review, presented a universe more professionally.
[And, for the record, I adore the game]
Really really love it.
Fabulous atmosphere, the contrast between The Rookie's dark lonely adventure and the daytime bluster of Buck's [where the rather handy VISR can't be used] is striking.
I get the feeling the alledged 6 hours to get through the blighter doesn't include actually wanting to explore the thing.
Also, Marty's score is *sensational*. Again.
I'm definitely going to get my money's worth from this, really lost in the world - and...
Nothing like a game looking good and coming through at the end of it as something belting. I'm going through the first game at the moment and absolutely loving it.
Both of the new videos were stunning as well. Very funny dialog on the water level and the knee high snow made me shiver. Massive kudos to Naughty Dog for their sheer attention to detail, scope of ambition and for pulling it off with that much aplomb by the looks of things.
If Halo ODST is a cracker as we...
All of it. Credit to everyone concerned for a fabulously informative presentation, kept fizzing by the giggles from everyone, particularly Staton.
My favourite point was amidst the reveal of the Firefly cast [which I knew about] a HUGE beaming smile to see the incredibly talented Nolan North on the cast list.
I'm playing through the first Uncharted currently, adoring it - and his world there is outstanding.
And with Halo:ODST and Uncharted 2 allegedly vy...
When 'a source' and 'a journalist' is mentioned in such a 'news' piece.
It;'s the equivalent of The Sun running an entertainment story with the tagline 'a source close to the star says..' or 'Sky Sports News understands...'... meaning you can print any old arse and it doesn't matter if it's true or not.
If it is a real journalist and indeed a respected one, why wouldn't they put their name to what they have just played. If they wanted to keep themselves to themselves...
Neither ...
Sensible World Of Soccer.
Still for me the finest game of footie ever.
You can keep your fancy schmancy graphics, i'll take pretty much every league in the world being on there - and the sheer amount of fun i've had with the blighter since the days of Amiga [then to the PC version and now on the XboxliveArcade version]and i'm still coming back for more.
I wish someone would update it properly :/
Most curious indeed!
Halo's my #2 of all time as well ^-^
Hoping it should turn up in the next few days [import].
I can't remember a game that swept in out of nowhere and really took so many people by surprise. It's a joy to see that folks do still want an absolute challenge, to better themselves and then the game - and it's been a real treat hearing tales of those learning curves and battles on here.
