Another title that won't see the light of day in Europe because it was never released here.
Parasite Eve .. and Xenogears please.
And in regular terms, still no sign of...
Silent Hill
Resident Evil 1, 2, 3
Alundra
Dino Crisis
O_o
A game that is absolute clownshoes, along with the several billion chavs who mong out on it daily.
Reminds me a fair bit of the vastly underrated Sacred 2: Fallen Angel.
The bloake's entitled to his opinion .. and he said it with a degree of good humour as well. I had to giggle at the 'glowing ice cream cone' bit. ^-^
I think a few folks need to take off their 'my console is member of my family' garb and not take things so literally, or so seriously.
But if you do *need* that level of fiest .. OOooOoo he'll have to put up or shut up with Gears Of War 3. WOooOOOoo!
;)
I saw the comparison videos a few days ago and whilst I thought the 360 looked a little crisper, I presumed that was more down to a bright level shown on 360 [Road Rage], vs a darker, more shadowy level on PS3 [Semper Fi].
What i saw of the PS3 version didn't look to be awful in the slightest. Far from it.
Likewise. I've heard so much about it and am eager to get stuck in ^-^
I'm a HUGE Resident Evil nerd and Dead Space stole a huge amount of #5's thunder. It played like an evolution of the franchise, much in the same way Uncharted did with Tomb Raider.
Moving and shooting would be a start, but on a personal level, i'd like to swap out some of the adrenalin of recent incarnations for some of the flat out scares of the early games. How that's possible with a 3d environment, i'd have to leave to the developers to implement.
I can understand that what he saw, as a father and husband, he wouldn't want to watch any more.
To then judge exactly what was going on, without knowing of the tone the trailer was putting across - that it's centred about a family being torn apart - was misguided.
Indeed whoever was talking to him and filming, could have explained that a little more - and going into things again he may have been as torn apart by the emotion of the trailer as many of u...
Didn't Crytek state that both 360 and PS3 would be identical, as they have a piece of kit that enables any changes made to one platform to automatically be tweaked for the other?
The absence of a PS3 demo within that light seems baffling. I can only join in with the conspiracy theorists in musing that EA is perhaps trying to stir up a bit of a kerfuffle.. before smacking the PS3 demo up on PSN just before release and setting things straight. Win win.
One of the most impressive and moving trailers i've ever seen.
If the game has this kind of eye on the heartfelt as well as the action packed, it has my attention.
I'm pretty sure I saw this first written about in a magazine yeeears ago and wondered what happened to it.
I remember adoring the game to pieces right up until the alien homeworld, where it just lost all magic and gave the impression that last bit had been rushed.
I played it initially on the PC, jumping like a loon as I went. Definitely the game that got me hooked on FPS games, particularly those with a story - and paving the way for just how much i'd fall for Halo: Combat Evolved when it arrived.
I did see the PS2 version very cheaply today. Is it any good a...
What made the original so special was the aspect of feeling so small, so overawed by the world that surrounded you.
The only point Halo has come close to replicating that feeling was with ODST, which I adored more than most.
That aspect of The Flood when they kicked in were a huge shock and surprise, adding a terrifyingly unexpected twist of lime to proceedings.
They were never utilised as well in games that followed, often the worst aspects...
I'm curious as to why you think the franchise is being milked?
I've enjoyed all the games, each have entertained me massively - to the point where i've wanted to know more and delved into the novels.
343 seem to be managing a quality output within that regard and I can't fault them at all for that which they have managed and released as satellites to the main games.
Hence, i'm curious to see if that level of consistency wi...
I'm interested in the evolution of the title. The more open world feel, rather than the Nexus and tight, confined spaces - and am curious to see how that will affect the game and the scares.
Really loving the extra colour kicked in to the mix as well. :)
22 restarts of that bl**dy advert just to see the screens.
Worth it though :D
Can't remember the last time I was this excited for a game.
Christmas 2011 is going to be a [deliciously] dark time.
^-^
Sensible World Of Soccer is still my favourite game ever - and i'm still playing the XboxLiveArcade release from a few years back.
Still the best footie game ever made, most every league in the world on the game - and there there's nothing as cool as being in charge of a 4th division club and raiding the likes of the Japanese Second Division and finding an absolute gem.
There's so much that could be done to the game within nuances and tweaks, rath...
Whilst you've been typing on here, I've been coveting your ox.
"Mmmmm ... ox"
[*Fires up BBQ*]

I'd love Sony to do a version of the DS3 with the L2/R2 buttons of the DS2.
I recently picked up a connector to use DS2 as a second pad on my PS3 and sans issues with wires and length, I'd forgotten how ace those L2/R2 buttons are, compared with DS3.
I did pick up the click on triggers for DS3 though, which I really couldn't do without. They improve things immensely.
[£3.99 for 2 bits of plastic though Game? Really>! O_o]
I remember reading on the EU blog a few weeks back the fact that there are seemingly issues because the game was never released here.
As to whether that's transfers to PAL, licensing or what - I don't know.
You'd have thought big companies like Sony and Squeenix could have figured it out though.
Especially regarding the likes of Parasite Eve and Xenogears, where there is an audience where most of them have never played the titles and would...
