“This should be a free upgrade”
And your boss says you should work for free too.
PlayStation’s Black Friday sale is fairly disappointing. I only get interested when games are 50% off. Midnight Suns for 70% looks like the best deal this week.
90% of gamers play without inverting Y. We’re old.
Barf 🤮
Hellblade 2 does look good but then so does Callisto Protocol. I can only be disappointed so many times before cynicism colors all my expectations.
After Fallout 4, Fallout 76, and now Starfield, I don’t think Bethesda is the kind of company that can make a game of the year. And Microsoft Studios as a whole has shown little commitment to quality.
“Remember when Phil said he considers PS and Switch to be part of Xbox... we maybe he is alluding to going full third party.”
Phil started alluding to this when he told Kinda Funny that Xbox lost the console war. Microsoft wants to dominate gaming, and they see Game Pass as the way to do it. The problem is selling Game Pass on proprietary platforms. PS5, Nintendo, the App Store, and Google Play store are all walled gardens that want a % of the monthly subscription fee.
Microsoft had a 10 year drought last year. It’s now an 11 year drought. What Xbox exclusive is coming next year that could be nominated?
Looks like Warner Bros’s activated its PR team.
The last numbers I saw were that PS+ subscribers were hovering in the 47M range. That’s how many who will consistently pay for on-line content. (Your asking consumers to pay the price of a fake to play online and F2P games like Fortnite don’t need PS+ for online access.) PS+ Extra and Premium tiers are growing, and were about 17M total when last reported by Sony. It’s the same story on Xbox. Most folks have to pick and choose months for online.
“Sadly”?
The Horizon games were among the best games of all time. Killzone Shadowfail wasn’t.
In a vacuum, Xbox is fine. Xboxes play games and therefore serves its primary function. But compared to PS5, Xbox is the lesser ecosystem. No Xbox exclusive are game of the year material and haven’t been for 11 years. Game Pass costs more than PS+. Xbox storage upgrades cost more. Xbox doesn’t have any controllers that rival the DualSense. The Xbox Home screen has ads. Xbox Series X won’t fit into your home entertainment system. Xbox Series S has worse graphics than last gen’s Xbox One X. Xbo...
“considering its only on one platform”
If you are only going to be on one platform, PS5 is the platform to be on.
11 years in a row that no Xbox exclusives have been nominated for Game of the Year at the game awards. Not a great decade+ to be an Xbox fan.
GTA makes money based on volume and what are basically pay-to-win micro-transactions. Charging a dollar per hour amount or charging more for the base game will eat into those sales.
The cost for the Essential Plan is now $80/year for the annual plan or $120/year for the $10/month plan.
Don’t buy Series S. Don’t tell your friends to buy Series S. It’s under powered and won’t get you through this generation.
Funny? It’s been this way since 2006.
Valve was talking about a Steam Deck 2 with faster processing, more flops, and more RAM. They want to sell this line a console and not like a PC, phone, or tablet that gets more obsolete every year. This is a good thing, in my opinion.
Only 30 games? Wow, that must have been super hard to narrow down.
