Phil Spencer, Microsoft’s CFO, and Satya Nadella have all hinted that Microsoft would go full 3rd party, meaning no Xbox exclusives. Of course Xbox owners would still get all those games made by Microsoft Studios. They would lose nothing. But it would mean that after 2 decades of trying and failing, Microsoft would officially give up on taking over the living room via hardware. In 10 years we will be talking about how awful it is that Microsoft is locking games behind its subscription service...

Bluster. Epic already lost this argument in its lawsuit against Apple.

By “significant”, darthv72 means selling 2 a month in Japan instead of 1 a month.

“For, Starfield fans, its amazing news”

I’ve been playing games for a long time and imma tell you that it’s never amazing news when a game you already played is getting better only after you are sick to death of playing it. It’s why I like to wait for game of the year editions and ultimate editions before buying into a game.

Android isn’t a walled garden tied to hardware like iOS. Android is like Windows or Linux for PCs. Any phone manufacturer can use Android and any seller can have their own store on Android. But Google used its muscle to tie up 90% marketshare for apps on Android. That’s monopolistic behavior.

How? Android phones like Samsung Galaxy are not subsidized by purchases from Google Play Store. And Google can’t quit on Android because of how much money Google makes from Google search on Android.

The average person should start using ad blockers.

“even if Sony goes this route I'll feel the same”

This isn’t a “both sides” issue. Sony has never had ads on the PlayStation Home Screen but Microsoft has laden Xbox’s Home Screen with ads since the Xbox 360. Microsoft has put ads on Windows 11 OS! Microsoft is basically the bad guy from “Ready Player One”.

“The PS5 had a horrible design that allowed dust to be easily sucked in and trapped in the console”

This 100% not true. my house has 2 PS5s, one since launch that rests horizontally in an entertainment center and one since 6 months after launch that sits vertically. I checked them both last month and neither have any dust in them. Dusty consoles are a personal hygiene issue, not a design issue.

“I love how Sony fans are now so desperate”

This has been an Xbox owner’s fantasy since 2013. Xbox will never have enough exclusives or good enough exclusives to make a PlayStation owner jealous.

Exactly, why blame exports awards when we shouldn’t even have them. The Emmy’s don’t have a category for best athlete in a sports competition because the very idea is ridiculous. Gamers in esports get awards in their own competitions just like real athletes.

I’ll play it … when it’s a PS+ monthly game. Actually I won’t. I still haven’t downloaded “Gotham Knights”.

Sales say otherwise.

Could be like the license Sony has with MLB. You may recall that “MLB The Show” is also on Xbox.

This is live in the U.S. The Raccoon City Edition bundle includes Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes for $15. That’s the hottest deal this holiday season.

Since IGN only scores in the 7-8 range, this review doesn’t mean anything to me.

My family and I joke about these kinds of headlines because the articles under them are also a joke.

This article is written by someone who has all gaming consoles and a PC for “work”. What the article should say is “Buyer beware: the Xbox Series S is not a true next gen console, will not get you through this generation’s best games. Buy a PS5 or Xbox Series X instead.”
