Why do you think the MacBook screen horrible for gaming? (I think it looks amazing.)
Studios don’t “get hit by layoffs”. Bungie is laying people off. Bungie’s leadership is making this decision.
Final Shaped pushed back to June, 2024, but reportedly not delayed because it needed more time. February and March have become a dumping ground for games, and June is a great window to avoid all that competition.
My guess is that Destiny 2’s last DLC is nearly complete and the game is winding down.
I’m sure this has nothing to with the Switch’s reliance on physical media.
PS4 Pro sales were negligible in growing market share. PS5 will continue to outpace PS4.
It’s long been time to dispel the myth that Phil Spencer is just a good guy gamer like you and me. Dualshockers should stop drinking the Kool-aid.
PS+ Essential price hike is bs. Cost per mbps of bandwidth and cost per mb of storage only ever go down. The “free” games are a nice bonus but a tier with free use of the internet for on-line gaming would be better. The other tiers are still cheaper than Game Pass so that’s a win for PS5 owners.
Look folks, 6/10 is a good score. It’s time to stop expecting all games to score in the 8-10 range and all reviewers to score the same. It’s ridiculous, not at all helpful, and lacks integrity.
There are a lot of old computers still going because they have a working copy of Photoshop installed.
$2 is not a “massive” price hike. But I do think people are going to push back against subscription services and especially subscription software.
“So ppl are buying a car running on gaz but same ppl complain that the car is polluting by using gaz?”
That’s a bad comparison because not everyone owns a car and not everyone who owns a car has a car that runs on gas.
Be realistic. If you don’t have internet, you won’t buy the digital edition. This is a non-problem.
This is an odd statement considering the history of Japanese games that had you press X on your way to victory. Seriously, games like Ninja Gaiden in the 00s was born of the developer’s belief that Japanese gamers had grown too soft.
The power of the PC as a platform is its large numbers. Minecraft, Fortnite, and Among Us all succeeded because they could run on low spec hardware and the laptops people use for work and school. Or put another way, when you have the option of buying a a $400 console instead of replacing your entire PC, you’ll go console every time.
Good. I look at streaming services like Netflix and and the ever upward movement in pricing and relentless addition of ads and it looks like we are reverting the same shitshow we had with cable TV. I really don’t want that kind of monopoly over game. The way to prevent that future is simple: don’t subscribe.
Microsoft stopped reporting sales numbers shortly after the launch of Xbox One, when it was clear that Xbox was losing badly to PlayStation. That was about 10 years ago.
Fact, Spider-Man 2 is already the top selling game for October. Not so much fact as opinion, but I think 6th most played on Xbox Live is kind of a bad stat for a game with so much hype. When Halo 4 dropped out of the top 5 on Major Nelson’s Xbox Live activity report, Major Nelson stopped reporting Xbox Live activity.
“likely the biggest new IP release for the entire gen”
With enough caveats, anything can be a “massive success”.
Graphics cards have become ridiculously large and expensive beasts. Very excited to see real world tests from Apple’s system on a chip. Imagine if Apple made a for real VR headset for gaming.
