If I had a choice between another Infamous game and another Spider-Man game, I choose Spider-Man. Sony should spend its resources on its winners.
Except $/mb of broadband, $/mb of storage, and $/compute power only gets cheaper over time. As Microsoft’s overhead has gone down, it’s prices have gone up.
So many people want so hard for new multiplayer games to fail. This is so different from the last 90s/early 2000s when people were happy to jump from game to game. My advice to stop grinding for XP or in-game currency. Just have fun.
The reason for the price increase is the same as the reason for procuring fewer games from their parties; more profit.
Not saying this is wrong but we don’t know how Appmagic made this estimate. There is no link to Appmagic.
You say that but everyime I’m waiting for one of my kids’ events to start, I see an audience full of kids playing games on phones. No Nintendos. Just phones. Lots of Minecraft. Lots of Clash of Clans style games.
“Why would anyone want GP without Ultimate anyway?”
Money savings.
At $240 per year, you could just buy day one releases. Also, and I know this may sound crazy, a lot of games are the same or better one year later. You don’t have to pre-order. You don’t have to play day one.
At $240/year, nope. I don’t think I’ve ever spend that much on games in one year.
Lots of PlayStation exclusives sell better on PlayStation than Call of Duty games. This isn’t 2010.
“While this isn’t official from Xbox we now know Forza Horizon 5 has hit a staggering 40 million players thanks to the in-game leaderboard.”
I’m calling b.s. on this.
Other than 5v5 feeling less fun than 6v6, the heroes of Concord didn’t feel effective. A starting grunt from Call of Duty with the worst weapons feels more effective. One reason that the original Overwatch was so fun was because heroes could feel OP in the right hands and with the right team combination.
Bad if true. An iPhone is already more powerful than a PS4 Pro.
Microsoft is $3T company. They never cared about gamers. They always cared about profit. Not sure why anyone was confused about that.
Not everything is Microsoft versus Sony. I get most of my Microsoft Rewards through Bing search, and those rewards were gutted by Microsoft after they added A.I. to Bing. I personally think that if a company is going to burden users with ads, like on Bing and the Xbox homepage, some of those ad dollars should be shared with users. Otherwise I’ll stick with services that don’t have ads.
Make a 6v6 Overwatch clone and I’m in. I’ll wait for Marvel Rivals.
My guess is it will be digital with the option to add the disc drive. Keeps the price down, makes people who use discs happy.
“Digital-only is now a thing and still is. Nothing you can do to change it back. Accept it.”
This isn’t a cancer diagnosis, it’s a licensing issue. If you want to preserve access to your games, you have to buy discs.
Funny enough, when Stan Lee introduced Black Panther to the Avengers in the comics, he re-ran a white supremacist storyline, swapping out Captain America for Black Panther. It let the reader know that Black Panther was filling the same role on the team, a skilled warrior with impeccable integrity. Black Panther was also a super scientist and had his own plane, which was cool.
They have said this every since last gen.
