Tell me can your PS3 run the PC version of the game ? Oh no it can't which is what this story is related too the PC VERSION. So no your PS3 cannot run the PC version.
I have a PC so I will be able to run GTA 4 with better graphics and features than your "wonderful" PS3. Let me leave you with this quote from one of the PC previews :-
"After spending a fair bit of time with GTA IV for the PC, we can say there's no doubt it looks absolutely incredible. But it was only just now, going back to the Xbox 360 version for comparison, that we realised how superior it actually is. It's not just sharper and higher resolution textures - it'...
Ah good ole systemrequirementslab doing a good job of getting everything wrong lol. I thought I would give it a whirl and apparently my GPU has 1.5gbs of video ram (it doesn't it only has 320mbs). Still at least they have stopped adding the frequency of cores together to give you a megahertz rating now.
As expected my Q6600 + 8800GTS (320mb version I know it's old but it suffices) passed even the recommended requirements. All I can say about the requirements is this better be ...
Okay I might do a post that has something to do with the actual story shall I. I personally hope Dx11 doesn't turn out to be a complete waste of time like Dx10 did. It is difficult to see any of the "advances" from those screen shots without seeing Dx10 examples. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
I imagine MS will probably want Dx11 ready for it's next console so that should mean more developers utilising Dx11 on the PC. But as always PC's will soon be leav...
Nope you can count me in there too. I am a PC gamer and can honestly say this game does not interest me in the slightest. It looks god damn ancient and it sounds incredibly dull and repetitive but then I have never really been a fan of multi player games. Still to those that want it then the best in the world to them, I will stick with fallout 3 till GTA 4 comes out on the PC.
As a PC gamer I can safely say Lucasarts can take their MMO and shove it where the light sabre never shines. Yeah yeah I know Bioware, KOTOR blah blah blah, I don't care if this generic MMO with starwars theme turns out to be the best game on the entire planet I am not going to give Lucasarts a damn penny.
I disagreed with you Conan997 because the PC version of GTA4 is not being done by Rockstar North. Instead the ground up re-build of the game for thee PC is being done by Rockstar Toronto. So the PC version has nothing to do with why the DLC isn't here yet.
Ohhhhhh handbags at dawn eh.
Every single time the PC gets a patch for a game we get PS3 or 360 owners coming in going "oh where is OUR patch". Look for the 200th time it is very simple, there is NO certification process on the PC. A company like Betheseda can just shove the PC patch up there on the net and bobs your uncle.
However with the consoles a patch has to be submitted to Sony/MS and they have to verify it doesn't screw anything up. That is why you will see the PC being patched first a...
There is a simple reason why no one is buying EA's crap on the PC, we are all too busy playing fallout 3.
you were the one that tried to have a cheap shot at the PC version. The fact is it is very rare for the PC version to get leaked before the game is released. Now lets contrast that with the fact nearly EVERY single xbox 360 game gets leaked weeks before it is released shall we eh.
Besides is it any wonder the PC version has taken longer we are getting a better game for it, better graphics, more features and enhanced multi player. PC gamers wanted better than the consoles and w...
Too late the 360 version got leaked onto the torrent sites a long long time ago.
Well I can honestly say I have never heard of this site, but that is the best preview I have seen yet of the PC version. It really does sound like Rockstar have gone to town to create a truly special experience on the PC.
I know many PC gamers have been up in arms about the requirements however having read that preview it makes a lot of sense. I seriously cannot wait to play this all over again on my PC the only fly in the ointment is the possible delay till 2nd December.
Not necessarily Fishy Fingers, I personally hated Oblivion I get so damn tired of elfs and goblins in RPG games. I don't want to walk around with a bow and arrow. I am the kind of guy that wants to walk around with a "fat man" and an inventory of mini nukes ready to unleash them on a super mutant behemoth.
So far I am really enjoying Fallout 3, it has it's faults I won't deny that but so far it has given me 40 - 50 hours of play, I haven't played a game so much in yea...
It is just a short term thing, I believe if memory serves Sony is making all future games (games that started production 6 months after the Trophy firmware) mandatory in terms of Trophies. So sooner rather than later the games will come with trophy support by default just like xbox 360 games.
At the end of the day it was done this way because of the way Sony implemented the trophies, had they been ready when the console was released you wouldn't be having this problem. But I do...
meh I never even bothered with the first 4, so I doubt I will be bothered with the fifth incarnation of this tripe.
@ Elimin8 - because by the time Sony got around to releasing the trophy update fallout 3 was probably at an advanced stage of completion. They of course could have delayed the PS3 version to incorporate Trophies but that would have led to much whining and complaining.
So this is the best solution give you the game now and then do a patch later for trophy support. This will of course eventually go away since Sony make it a requirement that all games from NOW must have Trophy s...
I don't think I will bother, I thought the demo was the dullest demo I had played in a long long time and this review plus the 7 out of 10 doesn't really convince me it is worth buying.
I am beginning to wonder if that is a typo myself. To me it seems to make much more sense to say a 8800gt rather than a 8600gt. However I did the story and I have double checked nearly everywhere they are saying recommended is a 8600gt.
I think these specs are a bit unclear and Rockstar needs to clarify things a little more.
Indeed it was fun naming the weapon fat man, perhaps they should have renamed it the "fluffy bunny wunny gun". This game is about the aftermath of a Nuclear Holocaust and tying the Nuke gun into the naming conventions of the 40/50's seems appropriate to me. I thought the name fitted the gun and I see no reason why they should change it.
It is a shame that the Japanese will not be able to experience everything that fallout 3 has to offer. To me one of the key elements...
