It does, as seen on one shot at the end of the HW reveal.
I believe high quality pictures will soon be available on Sony’s website.
I am pretty sure you are underestimating the impact of this show.
Sony confirms that they will double know on their exclusive strategy.
Third party big games make their debut in this Sony show (RE8). Even if they are not exclusive to PS5 that is a strong message to gamer community on third party support.
PS5 design is now revealed, much more audacious that what have been expected and far more distinctive than the bland SX design.
Sony ...
If what we have seen is representative of in game graphics, i wonder if RE8 will come on current gen. What they presented does not seems possible on PS4 in my opinion.
Yeah, too bad MS doesn’t follow Sony’s idea to make good games, and rechargeable gamepad.
Impressive presentation, amazing console design. Future is bright PS players!
Now, the long wait begins for Horizon Forbidden West release.
I was talking about my personal sentiment of this article tone and content.
Seems like everyone both sides are eager to see proposed exclusive content on these new platforms, so it is for me still surprising that MS is not using more this card in it PR strategy and serve us another round of BS « vision »
I was on the impression that it didn’t do them a lot of good last gen.
Great paid publicity article: big numbers, punchy phrases, evasive as f..k, full of nothing.
More seriously, the tone seems kind of shy to me, like MS is knowing that it got no more left to counter PS5 event tomorrow and is starting to drop the ball.
Certainly true for third party cross platform games.
But that also means that first party PS5 could propose designs not achievable an SX.
If that is the case, and on key gameplay mechanics differentiators, that could be the final blow to SX.
Having a FPS or resolution difference between 2 platforms is one thing.
Having core gameplay features only achievable on one platform is on an all other level.
All in all this new generatio...
I will believe in the renewed gamer centric vision when I will see the games in the stores.
MS is playing this card for years know since One X launch, and as never delivered so far.
Come on dude, think about it one second.
Assuming XSX is 20% more powerful, if PS5 is running something at 4K/30fps it will run at 4K/36fps on XSX.
To run it at 4K/60fps will require two times the power of the PS5. Two times!
How this XSX 4K/60fps for everything non sense can continue to go one except for pure blindness?
Even with the 40% power difference between One X and PS4 pro today it is not the case, look at RE3 remake f...
Please drop the link of averted HB2 real gameplay video. I am curious to see it.
My point also, I don't see any improvement from MS on this launch vs last gen, they are lost in the same daily bullshit PR saturating gamer's interest.
At least, if things turns bad on the sale front at launch, Spencer will be accountable for real, no more "the previous guy broke it" excuse.
Let's hope anyway that MS is just faulty of poorly handled communication and will be able to give some meat to their fans.
60fps 3D games exists even for console only players since PS1 area.
We don't need Phil Spencer or anyone explain us what it fells like, everyone knows it and is able to translate this feeling vs Youtube videos.
That is for me the lamest part of this interview, a big corporation VP knowing better than a community of passionate gamer how gaming feels...
I don't get the link between your comment and the article.
If you are implying Sony former exclusive coming on PC is a fail for Sony, you should think twice.
PS5 is out in a couple of months, Horizon is a 3 years old exclusive which must not bring a lot of console sales now but a highly anticipate title for PC gamers which will sell a lot.
It is more a win on both side, general gamer community will be able to play this title, Sony which co an...
What is this crappy statement?
Does that mean that PC gamers not able to run the game 4K/60FPS ultra settings on their machine will be forbidden to launch it? Come on....
This felling I often have to be considered as a dumb and uneducated individual by some PR revolving around Xbox game division is I believe the main reason I can not stand them.
I agree with you regarding gameplay feeling.
I completely disagree regarding graphics, which Phil is mentioning.
That’s the all concept around websites like digital foundry which are usually considered as a reference to provide solid graphics quality and performances analysis.
Phil is of course right regarding YouTube limitations, but he completely let apart other means to view uncompressed videos.
That’s the definition of a fanboy, for both sides. Deal with it.
Unfortunately, communication around Xbox as taken a hit since several weeks with messy or ridiculous statements like the on par with pc perf Scorn story.
Here again Phil is shooting his own foot stating that 4K/60 or 120 FPS SX performances feeling:
- Some people may think native 4K60 will be the baseline for all SX games, which will not by far for real next gen titles. ...
Well, I would disagree with you. I don’t see anything fixed by MS side, even more it is worst.
That stupid decision « no first party exclusive for 2 years » have killed it all:
- First party games games core structure development will be restrained by old gen bottlenecks
- Don’t count on Big 3rd party Studio to release exclusive for SX
- The moment Sony will show exclusive content not possible on SX for 2 years due to this stup...
I bet Sony is far more ready than what you think, and than MS. It is very clear by PS5 spec it was developed with a crystal clear vision: remove as much bottlenecks as possible for dev to speed up development control dev costs.
They even have developed 2 custom chips (SSD, audio) on top on the entire new console development, and that requires years on r&d and planning.
What do we have on MS side? Sure, we know the box. But it still have a shitty memory partit...
Everything started with 360 has been lost with the One.
Europe is a PS continent by far now, only England seems to give some consideration to the Xbox.
