I suppose you could be right, I was drawing from my own personal opinion that the Wii U doesn't offer me a sufficient upgrade in specs to warrant a purchase. It may or may not apply to the wider market but I'm still going to use it as a reason because at least on person thinks of it like that, me. Sure it's only one small factor of what I look for in a console but it still counts.
Honestly though I don't really know, I'm not a market analyst or anything l...
I think the industry will be OK, can't be bothered to go into great detail so here's a quick point-by-point of why I think certain systems are struggling:
Wii U - Specs only comparable to current gen hardware, lack of 3D Mario and Zelda game, looming next gen devices
PSVita - Price, it's still too high, simple as that
PS3/Xbox 360 - Sales are stagnating under the pressure of an already extended generation and announcement of next ...
I wonder if Vgchartz will ever acknowledge the fact that PS3 has outsold Xbox 360 worldwide?
They're using the whole sold vs shipped argument as a smokescreen for the truth, which is that you CANNOT, let me repeat that for clarity, CANNOT, track sales sold to customers. At best its an educated guess but the margin for error is so high that it makes the results of any guess completely unreliable and useless.
Are you sure I can't find anything about it? Lemme know if you have a link because that would get me hyped again, well, as hyped as I can be about yet another sci-fi/space shooter :D
Haha your comment reminded me of this...

Very true though.
Well a smiley face is not 100% confirmation but it's still very encouraging :)
It's such a no brainer move for Sony to bring it to PS4, it just makes sense.
Judging from what we've seen so far I would never have had any doubts that PS4 could run it.
I was excited to see what the newly renamed Black Tusk studios was working on but then I found out that, when they were still MS studios Van cover, they were working on a "core AAA shooter experience using Kinect" now I'm not as hyped.

While I agree with the general point of the article, calling the PS3 "a publisher’s afterthought forever in the shadow of the Xbox 360" ruins the credibility of the writer and throws the entire piece into the gutter.
Not sure what I was expecting from the free rag that is the metro.
I'm glad you don't get to decide what we need, indie games are great.
Absolutely right, the casual market is extremely fickle and chasing them could be a huge gamble. Both Sony and MS know that they need to secure the core gaming audience before they chase the fleeting casual, marketing toward casual from the off would be a mistake.
I expect nothing short of total gaming focus from both companies come E3.
How on earth did you manage to turn creating a great environment for game devs to make games into a negative? That's some excellent troll logic, still rubbish though.
For those who don't like flipping through separate pages for every point:
* Free online
* Kinect not required
* New Rare game
The first two might never happen but I'm still holding a tiny ray of hope that Rare makes a new core AAA game.
No problem, do your homework and I'll check it out more often :)
Comment clichés you aren't allowed to use in articles like this any more:
"Nobody wins E3"
"The gamer wins"
"Company 'A' has already won"
OK continue.
On topic: I... err... umm... bu... nevermind.
From article...
"It isn’t clear how much of that 8GB memory is actually available to developers and how much is used up by the system for those streaming/sharing features."
If your going to write about something the least you can do is thoroughly research the subject. It's public knowledge that the PS4 will have a separate dedicated chip to handle things like video capture/compression and background downloads.

Yeah, wash them first man.
Life in prison and the death sentence are all good and well but denying the man a Playstation, that's just harsh.
Your opinion piece is completely one sided and your argument fundamentally illogical.
Less exclusives = good for Microsoft
More exclusives = good for Microsoft?
It's like you're incapable of seeing the situation from any other POV, you even label gamers who want more exclusives on the Xbox platform as "biased" right there in the description.
I'm afraid the only one coming off as biased here is you, it's more ...
I have no trouble believing that. As a result Déjà vu is a common side effect of too much N4G along with periodically & uncontrollably shouting "IT'S YOU'RE NOT YOUR" at the screen.
Glad I got my copy early on :D
Great so far kind of your typical 'new kid at school' story but it ends just as it's getting interesting. Waiting for issue 2 to drop through my door, I think it's due on the 29th.
