Sony still own the Wipeout IP too.

Since we've already had a top X list for every conceivable line of thought and topic can we now start flagging them for plagiarism? :)

This comment negates any shred of credibility both you and your site may have had. You've revealed yourself as nothing more than another raging fanboy looking for hits.

I recommend everyone here on N4G to rate down the site and this users comment, which is obviously trolling for more heat on his opinion piece/flamebait. This is the only way to prevent the abuse of the system for hits by these talentless console warmongers.

Actually, I think it's much more naive to completely dismiss a rumour than to mildly speculate on the possibility that it's true. Nowhere did I make the assertion that this rumour is 100% fact.

MS will just splurge on whatever weak willed 3rd party studios they can find. It's worked for them in the past although it's more of a temporary fix, here's hoping their 1st party get to grips with the new hardware asap.

Yeah they have to show it after making those snarky tweets about Sony not showing.

http://gamer.blorge.com/wp-...

They also have to at least match Sony blow for blow with games, features and specs. They can't just tease a little or the PS4 might look like the better prospect going into E3.

There's going to be a period of adjustment when developing for PS4, even for incredibly talented studios like Santa Monica and Naughty Dog. However, even their first wave efforts should be something amazing; Sony's top first party studios have never put a foot wrong this gen.

Nonsense, tens of millions of PS3s won't just disappear when PS4 releases. Yes it might steal some of the media thunder but the game will still sell and keep it's place in the minds of gamers. Just look at GOW 2.

My imagination is not even close to awesome enough, someone help me out...

Naughty Dog + PS4 = ?

I stand corrected :) that kinda sucks, I also liked the idea of fictional cities, even if they were based on real places. Won't spoil the game at all though.

Afaik they haven't announced the name of the city, people are just using seattle because of that tower thingy, I forget its name. It will most likely be renamed for the final game.

I'm buying this game right now on the strength of the hilarious trailers!

"If Microsoft confirms all of these speculations [always on DRM], then gamers may opt to purchase Watch Dogs, and other games, on another gaming platform instead."

This is why we need competition in the industry, so when one company puts their junk in a bear trap we can simply buy the game on another platform in retaliation of their stupidity.

Thanks.

If anyone is wondering about the music it's The Black Keys - Next Girl

All great points but non of them really conflict with what I'm trying to say.

"Microsoft had a plan with the xbox brand to lose money with the xbox and then break even with the 360 and then expect to make money with the next device."

This one in particular supports my point that with MS aiming to make the 720 their 'cashing in' console, investors will be looking for higher returns for what they put in and are therefore less likely to inv...

There's this perception that Microsoft have this endless well of money they can use to simply buy their way into anything. While it certainly seems they can but they are still bound by the mechanics of business. Investors won't allow MS to just throw money at the games industry if they aren't seeing a return for that investment. I'm fairly sure that the money spent this gen on buying timed exclusivity deals was explained to the board as necessary to get a 'foot in the d...

People must see something in it if they're willing to pay.

On the other hand it's still a barrier to some people. Ironically, particularly those that wish to use their Xbox as a media centre first as Netflix and other services require the subscription.

I agree with Catoplepas, BC is just not necessary and most consoles released haven't had it in the past. While it's a nice feature to have, the lack of it is blown way out of proportion by gamers/journos still clinging desperately to the current generation.

For the one millionth time, just calm down and keep your PS3/360.
