@Cupid
Lets compare video games to cars, that makes sense.
I didnt say there was anything wrong with remaking those games, but that there wasnt 60 dollar value to me, in one game, that is only a year old.
Value is subjective, so if you find value, more power to you.
People who haven't played TR:DE, or TLOU on the old platforms will probably find more value than those that did, obviously. It was just two examples of games ...
It's a freaking beta for a game coming out almost a full YEAR later. Relax. The game will be higher than 720 at launch.
Maybe you are just too used to the more recent "Betas" that aren't really betas at all, and more of a final server load test, with mostly finished game code.
It's not really milking anythign if they give you good value. Halo MCC is a great way for people that have never played halo to experience it on a new console. Would be no different for gears.
Not everyone owned an xbox/xbox360. If you dont see value in it, don't buy it, but don't call it "milking".
Milking is a term that should be used for games like Tomb Raider: DE (even though the game is great), Last of us on PS4, etc. One barely ye...
Shinobi, in general, has been pretty accurate. Will be interesting to see what sort of Gears we'll get next year, if he is right.
These articles are stupid. Xbox one allows for ANY USB 3.0 external drive to be used, in addition to the internal drive. Plug it in and go.
PS4 allows for a swap of the internal drive.
Both have their pros and cons. Point is that both consoles give you options and pretty simple solutions to your "problem". Seems like another half-assed attempt at taking shots at next gen consoles (specifically the X1 this time).
500GB isnt enough...
Pretty fair review. Agree with many of your points.
People are talking about it. That's all they want.
Some of you make it sound like they invested millions of dollars into this Destiny Fragrance thing. It's a freaking website, and not a lot of money. ANY talk about it is a "win" for MS on this one.
Sir, you've put too much thought into this, just like 75% of the people on n4g. If you saw it and got irritated or started thinking about the contract and the morality of it you missed the point entirely.
Gamers are all for fun and games, except when it's the company they dont own a product for. Were you qestioning Sony's tactics during E3 2013? They were pretty low and screamed desperate to me, but most people applauded them and laughed. That was outright HOSTIL...
They are great in Forza 5. You can feel when the tires start to skid/slide when breaking, for example.
Crimson Dragon is not that bad. Once you get the hang of the controls and get into the game, it's actually quite fun. I have many friends that have put a ton of time into it and enjoy it.
I'm hoping both hold up as well. They both have had their issues recently...
Are you new to the internet? Every week has been "kick MS in the balls week" for about a year now. Some of it deserved, most of it is not.
Same here. But apparently it's many peoples jobs to try to convince us that we shouldn't be happy with the X1.
The only other area in life/social/anything that is this annoying is Politics. Shame on all of us "gamers" for letting it get to this point. Granted it's a small minority of idiots that are ruining it for the majority... But it's enough to be annoying.
I know you are making this quip in jest... but in all seriousness, this is the kind of stupid stuff that splits a community. I own both X1 and PS4, and I'm more happy with what the X1 is offering right now. More games i want to play, and more functionality. Thats not to say there isnt value in PS4, but FOR ME, X1 is living up to my expectations, PS4 (games-wise) is not.
Frankly, it's not up to anyone else to decide what i should be happy with. And it isn't right f...
He's a jerk with no self control. Hope he never comes back to the industry. Thanks for Fez, but you haven't given us a damn thing since but annoyance.
Not impressed witht he order of your list. All good games, but Rayman is number 1, really? I would put Titanfall up there in the top 3. Also, thought it gets a lot of heat, Ryse is a fantastic game (go play it on Legendary and learn how to actually PLAY), and I've put more time into it than any other X1 game not named Titanfall.
It's all subjective, so I can't say you are wrong, just not anywhere close to the order I would have chosen.
Probably has a lot to do with indie devs HAVE to get a game out. They dont have a publisher/studio owner with deep pockets to pay them if they delay 6 months. If they don't get the game out, they dont get paid.
TR has always been dev'd by third party studios. Just because it's historically been multi-plat or on PS doesn't make it a Playstation game.
The same would have happened with Gears of War (at least gone multi-plat) if MS hadn't bought the IP recently from Epic.
Most of the "long running" xbox games are owned by MS, which is smart on their part, to keep something like this from happening.
In the end, fans will feel sl...
Who cares, really? My guess is they had to sign a deal. Square is really really hurting financially. For all we know, they were at a point where they couldnt finish the game. Remember, they actually LAID OFF people from CD after TR didnt sell as much as they were hoping for.
This could be something similar to DR3 where MS basically paid for the rest of the dev in exchange for exclusivity (timed or otherwise).
i went with a decent 2TB normal 7,200 rpm internal desktop drive with a seperate basic enclosure. Works PERFECTLY, and the load times improved dramatically.
If you do buy a straight up external drive, make sure it's 7,200, or you wont get much (if any) load time boost.
