Yup, competition is never a bad thing.
Yeah, the online play can't keep me hooked. I only ever go back to screw around in the city alone or with a friend.
I don't see how you could say they're not the same genres. Modern war is modern war, whether it's CQB or open battlefields. Yes, they present it in a different way, but it's still the same genre.
Also, CoD4 set a high benchmark for the perfection of console controls. I felt the same way when I first played the demo. The controls felt twitchy initially, and I did turn down the sensitivity. Of course, getting used to it takes no time at all, so I see no problem with the controls....
All they've announced at this point is the addition of the classic conquest gametype, unless I missed something. That mode made the Battlefield series, so if they just had those 2 gametypes, I'm pretty sure they'd be alright.
Yeah, WWII sounds a lot nicer now that everyone isn't jumping on the bandwagon.
Well, it depends of what you mean by pull it off. If you mean make a competent game, then yeah, I'm sure they'll do it. If you mean match or top the quality of CoD4, then I'm still doubtful at this point.
And a great big lol to the toothpaste.
The camera doesn't really know how to work with you, but you can learn to work with it to make it good enough. And yeah, those stairs gave some crazy slowdown, but it was kinda cool to kill 20 ninjas at the same time with the scythe in slow motion, haha.
Yeah, but the other one only came to PS3 after years. I imagine the same could happen with this one eventually if Tecmo doesn't explode.
Yeah, I have NG2, and I love it, but I know it doesn't deserve a higher score than MGS4. This review is bogus.
I'm speechless on this one...
I don't rule out anything these days. It may be unlikely, but who knows...
My wish is for the PS3 to die! Haha, just messing with you PS3 fanboys. It's looking like PS3 has a strong lineup coming up. Let's hope none of the big ones become another Haze. It would be a shame to see that happen again. I have high hopes for a lot of the upcoming titles.
I wouldn't be surprised of Mass Effect 2 went either way. It could be either at this point with the PS3's popularity greatly increasing, but Bioware has been pretty faithful to the Xbox, so who knows. We'll find out in the future I guess.
Good point. I'm sure a lot of people who owned a PS2 were waiting for a game like this before they got a PS3, which is really just keeping the same fanbase, but bringing new fans in is definitley a much more noteworthy accomplishment. I'm sure this game won over its share of PS3 doubters, though.
Tsk tsk..don't bash any part of the the mighty MGS4 in this topic. You're likely to lose bubbles and get many disagreers. You're not allowed to have an opinion!
Sorry, somebody had to say it. Fanboys tend to be a little too fanatical when somebody disagrees with them. Actually, it wouldn't surprise me if I lost bubbles for pointing that out. Oh well.
Way to type like at 12 year old. At least your rant is true instead of dumb like a 12 year old's, though I would have gone about it differently...
All depends on your preferences. It's definitely an experience for at least one time. I don't see why so many people are disagreeing with you. It's like they want to force you to love it so much that you'll play it 8 times through >.<
Heck, I'm not a Playstation fan, and if I had money to throw around, I'd still buy the console for this game. Unfortunatley, I don't have money to throw around. I'll get it some day, even if I have to wait for a $50 PS3, haha.
Scores aren't everything bud. Bioshock was an amazing game by all rights. It's ignorant to say you can't compare the two just because of a few reviews. Yes, MGS4 is an amazing game, but it's no so far ahead of Bioshock that they don't deserve comparison in at least the story department. They're both amazing story-driven games in their own respects, which in my eyes, should definitely spark comparison.
Why do people feel they have to butcher the English language? I think that's a better question.
No Xbox is completely safe from the RRoD, and this guy definitely has a valid point on how he was being treated by PR.
