I like the idea of the Bare-bones TDM. That could finally get people to shut up about losing to certain perks because they can't realize that every perk has a counter or way to overcome it. I probably won't play it much, but it'll remove some whiners from other game types. I'm perfectly fine with dealing with other people using the "cheap" perks. Also, I'd miss Extreme Conditioning too much. I'm kind of fanatical about sprinting.
I don't think you understand how hard that would be to implement at this point. It's stimply not worth their time and effort. As much as I'd like to see it myself, it's unfortunatley not happening.
It's definitely not the huge event it used to be, but it certainly still does a good job of making plenty of fans drool.
You know, I never really thought of it like that. Thanks for opening my eyes a little. I'm still hopeful for the game, but it very well may go the way you're predicting.
Well, every nation has its ups and downs. I'd love being American too if our economy wasn't a mess right now.
I signed it. There's no reason for our Aussie friends to miss out on what looks to be such a promising game. There shouldn't be any need to import/edit a game just because of their classifications. As it said in the article, it IS the responsibility of parents to choose what their children can experience. There's much worse things in this world than a video game.
I have to disagree with you there Ghoul. Red Orchestra was a pretty brutally realistic game, but the original OF certainly did the ultra realism formula first by a longshot. That was one heck of a tough game.
By coompleting, they mean just beating the game. They use as many warps/shortcuts as possible. Plus, they're a pretty fun crew to just hang out with in the chat. They're working through Galaxy right now. Since the link doesn't work on this page, check out thespeedgamers.com to see their broadcast.
There's a huge difference between watching a video on Youtube and downloading Crysis. The latter is actually illegal, and you should know that when you download it. There's really no way to know if a clip on Youtube is illegally uploaded. It's Youtube's responsibility to remove the video if it is.
Yeah, working with anybody but friends was nearly impossible in D2. I'm glad they individualized loot.
I've always seen it stupid to call one console better than the other personally...
Yeah, the thing I disliked most about the first game is it felt like anything other than shotguns or power weapons had no punch to them. At least you can stop a shotgun rush now with a hail of bullets. That's probably my favorite improvement so far.
Seriously, take your PS3 hate to the Open Zone. Stop comparing games that are nothing alike just to say, "I does not liek teh Plehstayshion Three!"
And thankfully, this time will hopefully actually require thinking unlike the unseen shotgun fest of the last one. I was so looking forward to multiplayer on the first one, but I couldn't stand the lack of strategy.
Yeah, people tend to stick to their wet fanboy dreams and ignore the fact that games on the other console can actually be good.
Totally agreed, but there's always going to be those a-holes that do it just to make other people mad.
Hey, geeks have to get some sunlight sometimes ;)
Well, that's not very nice, but I can't blame you with their track record as of late. Sega's glory days are over it seems.
Yeah, I'm sure adding at least a few of those features would make a lot of people happy. It's good that the network has gotten as close as it has to Xbox Live, especially being free, but there's still a few features to be desired. The one that sticks out to me most is cross-game chat.
I bet the gameplay will be a lot more fun, but the game will lack the storytelling that bolstered many reviews for GTA IV. I'm certainly looking forward to Mercs 2.
