The thing is, PC gaming is turning more into free games with ads or free games with item stores. PC gaming still has more people playing every day than any of the consoles. Yeah, big companies can't ship out massive amounts of software, but there's still plenty of money to be made in the free game formula. Just look at stuff like Maplestory.
Sadly, people just disliking the game isn't the case. The majority of people seem to be simply saying the game is bad. There's a major difference between giving an honest review and just bashing the game.
The winners are the gamers that keep getting better products from the competition. Who knows where Sony's network would be if it only had to compete with Nintendo's garbage network. Xbox Live drove Sony to make its online experience much better, which is awesome for the gamers. Competition = win.
Haha, well, I can't agree or disagree not having played the game yet, but I know how good Kojima is at making games, and I've seen the reviews, so your argument has plenty of credibility. It'll have a very srong running for GotY at the very least. We'll see how things fan out at the end of the year.
Probably just forgot it. There's a lot of big games coming up. Hard to keep track of them all I guess. I don't think anyone can deny that Resistance 2 is looking pretty good.
Animal Crossing is a good experience if it's your kind of game. Nothing wrong with liking it. I rather enjoy playing a more casual game every so often.
Well, my game anticipation was huge last year, but I think I'm anticipating the Fall more this year. Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, and Gears 2 have really captivated me.
Use your brain, please. He didn't say the game is bad. He said he disliked it. There's a huge difference. Just because I got bored easily with Oblivion doesn't mean I think it's a bad game. Everybody has their respective tastes.
I think it's a little obvious at this point that it's delayed. They haven't showed a single piece of new video since Ubidays of last year. They had it down for a November 2007 release date back then.
Well, at least you gave it a good chance. Not every game is for everyone. Bubbles for being honest and being a reasonable reviewer. Hard to find people that'll admit that a game just isn't for them.
Yeah, it's very true that fanboyism isn't kept in check in the gamer section. And now, it's probably gotten too far out of hand for the mods to deal with.
I seem to notice more PS3 fanboys myself, but any fanboy annoys the crap out of me, period. They're all fools in my eyes.
Edit: I'll never understand why every PS3 fanboy has to bring up the RROD at every chance. It's like saying, "Hi, I'm a fanboy, and I'm insecure about my own console, so I'll bring up a problem with yours that EVERYONE knows about!"
I didn't have a single issue with the camera in my time with the demo. Honestly, I prefer to not have to sit there and manage the camera. Instead, I can focus 100% on what I'm doing. That's one of the things I really like about games like Gears or any random FPS. No camera management, period.

Overhype is one of the biggest game killers. Sometimes a good game just gets screwed by initial overhype which hurts sales at release.

You shouldn't be ashamed. There's a metric F-ton of people anticipating that game, as cutesy as it is. Embrace your eagerness and join the crowd.

Yeah, it's nice when console fanboyism isn't a factor. But you know, year fanboyism will probably find a way to arise.

I could never understand that myself, haha. Great games regardless, though.

Nice catch. Bubbles for you.
Wow, I thought they said the MOAB was the biggest bomb in the game. This is going to be so freaking sweet.
@1.2 This is the biggest you can call on command, though =)
