Nice to see two people work out things reasonably instead of a flame war. That's certainly a rarity on this site. Props to you guys.
Now on topic, the game definitley has its flaws, and after all the bad press, I was starting to regret my pre-order. I'm glad they brought the demo out as early as they did, because that changed my mind. I did rather enjoy the demo. I feel its reviews will be somewhere in the 8's when it comes out.
Yeah, I don't see much fun in this either, but darn is it a cool idea.
It just really comes down to the people. To some people, paying full price for an interactive movie is a ripoff. To others, it's the best thing in the world. It really doesn't come down to intelligence. It's just preference.
Personally, I think MGS games do tend to go a little overboard on the story, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying them.
Um, I never said how many the first one sold. You might want to read a little more carefully bud, lest you make a fool of yourself.
Doesn't mean their gameplay has much alike other than shooting crap.
I'd certianly do the same if I had both consoles. I like your attitude.
Little bias in the picture, eh? I didn't catch that. Good eye. Personally, I really don't care to compare graphics between the games. Gameplay is top priority for comparing games for me.
I doubt R2 will sell as many copies as Gears 2 because of the install base of the 360 and the extreme hype surrounding Gears after the first game. Quality really doesn't seem like a big factor in that battle. We'll find out for sure later in the year.
Edit: And to clarify, I don't think Gears will outsell R2 by an insane amount. I'm thinking about the same as the difference between the first games, maybe less.
Well, if we're going by graphics, real life must be the best game ever!
As long as you're happy with your purchase, that's all that really matters.
Personally, I wouldn't pick a winner in the multiplayer division. Each game is meant to be on a different scale. Resistance 2 is large, exciting battles. Gears 2 comes down to strategic, squad-based combat. Both look to be doing great in their respective areas, but because of the different focus of each, I don't think it's right to compare.
RE5 definitely looks amazing, but my pick would have been either Fallout 3 or Left 4 Dead for their innovation.
Never said it's going to be a bad game. I just hate the hypocrisy on this site. If it's an Xbox site saying that Gears 2 is going to be the best shooter of the year, all the PS3 fanboys will come out and start calling bias, saying that Killzone 2 or Resistance 2 will be better.
LPB is going to be a great game, no doubt. Don't get me wrong people.
I love how nobody calls bias when this comes from lbpcentral.com, but if it was about an Xbox game, fanboys would be all over it.
It's not going to overtake Mario, as much as I'm sure PS3 owners would like it to. Mario is far to big to be overtaken.
Neato, they added sprinting. I didn't realize that until this video. At least it looks like it. Not 100% sure.
Also, I noticed a "Nuclear Bunker Buster" in his list of bombs o.O
Bunker busters be my favorite kind of bomb!
Indeed, and that's why the Halo franchise won't be exploited if they move on to different areas of the lore.
So you're saying Square exploits Final Fantasy? No wai!
And fanboyism runs rampant...
Every company thinks they have the best lineup. We know. Can we just move on now?
Please save us the fanboyism people. Listen to Montrealien.
