I can't even get cable...
:(
The best I have up here is sattelite, and that means no online gaming. Plus they have rediculous bandwidth caps. I have to think twice before watching a video because it'll probably kill my internet for 24 hours.
That's because they did it for free. We don't pay for PSN like you do for XBL. Sony makes no money adding these features, they just make their consumers happy.
They can take as long as they want a far as I'm concerned. PSN is 100% functional, these are just added bonuses.
Some people just don't like free, I guess.

NES?!?! NES?!?!?!
Could the NES render the beautiful 3D vector graphics of StarFox?!
Methinks not! Twas the SNES that had that honor.
I'm glad to see the weapon wheel go. I hate games where you collect weapons. For single player that's fine, but in multiplayer its just annoying (I only accept it in Warhawk because you can get to vehicles, although I honestly hope Warhawk 2 is class based).
Spawn, run for a good weapon, die, repeat. That's all RFOM multiplayer was for me. There is no fun in that. The class based systems are way better. And the differences between Chimera and Humans was just annoying.

I'm sick of reading whiny comments where people b!tch about a free features...
I'll certainly be using it. People were b!tching about not having "cross game invites" so Sony gives a feature that basically does the same thing and everyone complains.
If xbox features mean that much to everyone, then BUY A FUDGING XBOX AND STFU. Personally I purchased my PS3 for the games, but whatever floats your boat.
someone tell me if there's hardcore, interplanetary, alien porn in this one.
There is a difference between offering incentives to new developers so they choose to make games on your platform, and walking up to high profile devs with a garbage truck full of money.
One way promotes new developers, the other actively seeks to deprive consumers of a game or parts of a game unless they pay extra money for another console.
@Crab
What exclusives has Sony paid for recently? I might believe MGS4, but that has always been on the Playstation platf...
There is no movie.
Well there is, but its based on the game, not the other way around. Also, its a cartoon...and pretty bad.
Dead Space is inspired by a lot of other movies though. Event Horizon, The Thing, etc. as well as a number of other horror games.
You guys are making me paranoid. My 60gb has always worked perfectly, but recently has been making a few weird noises.
I swear, if my PS3 dies I'm blaming it on all of you...jinxing my precious...how dare you.
PS3 + Linux = Snes
I even got my DS3 controller working. It took a ridiculously long time, but its totally worth it.
Actually retailers sell for 2.99 instead of 3.00 because its a psychological trick. People pay more attention to the dollars because the cents don't matter.
I agree that the cents matter in business, but the difference between the current PS3 SKUs is $100 (last I checked anyway).
Really the technology just needs to advance so Sony can make the PS3 cheaper (which 'm sure they have been doing).
I thought this was gonna be an article about how the Chimera spread out into space and invade Helghan/Vecta. That would be a pretty epic game.
While I don't disagree with you, I think other people did because of the 'rubbin it in their faces' tone you gave when talking about sigma.
People tend not to like that.
Yeah I thought the DSi was just the DS with some fancy add-ons...Am I not going to be able to play this game with a regular DS? Because that's fudgin retarded. I'm not buying a new portable for a camera, slightly improved hardware, or whatever it has.
It will be an indirect sequel, if its even related this time. Ueda's own interpretation of the ending of ICO was that both characters were dead (although I can't find the quote). Either way the ending was purposely left vague so the player could interpret it in their own way. It could have been a dream, Yorda could have been transformed/dead, etc. After letting the player interpret what happens it would be wrong to suddenly decide the real ending for everyone (in my opinion). We'll never see ...
Sony has more first party games, some of which are niche genres. Shooters sell like crazy, and established shooters that are marketed out the a$$ sell even better. Halo and Gears will always sell more because of the marketing and broad appeal of their genres. Games like Folklore, Valkyria Chronicles, etc. aren't going to break sales records, but that doesn't mean they aren't great games.
Sales don't really mean one game is better than another (not that you were inferring that)....
The Matrix came out before Max Payne. That was the first place 'bullet time' was seen (at least I'm fairly certain it was). Max Payne may have been the first game to use it though.
It's not even that they are trying to become 'Americanized' though. They could just release the game on all platforms, but instead they shove their hands as deep as they'll go into MS' pockets. That's the only excuse for staying exclusive to MS.
Moving to the PS3 (at least as multi-platform) is an obvious move after their recent sales. Really MS should just start making games, or full blown buying developers. I will never see a reason to buy a 360 until they start making more re...
Well, that seemed overly defensive.
It's just worms dude. Take a deep breath and relax.
