Does Atari still own the rights to the Rush series? The DC version was great.

EDIT: I see that Atari developed the game and Midway published it. Does Midway own the IP and if so, I wonder if it would interest Atari in re-acquiring it since Midway's financial woes appeared. Or is the Test Drive series enough?

"We don't condone the senseless killing of any animal, even mutated Dobermans. We're not offended by zombified Shaka Zulu warriors, but this despicable and cowardly act of killing dogs in order to survive is appalling."

Multi-plats are indeed visually crisper on the 360 - unless you discount the fact almost every game is plagued with screen tearing. I got 44 360 titles and probably 40 have V-sync issues. Maybe in 2006 & '07, this was a more valid argument. But I hate screen tearing (yes, worse than framerate issues).

In '09 though, multi-plats are almost identical, and the PS3s' games rarely have this problem. All PS3 games have trophies too now which nullifies a true advantage for MS. So in...

They go on to tell you the team incurred over $115k in expenses *Direct2Drive* and reveal nothing about its sales. No information about the trials and tribulations *Direct2Drive* of a 2yr dev cycle of an indie studio creating an unknown IP. Could've made an interesting read. But no, IGN decided they *Direct2Drive* would whore out their service at the article's expense and shamelessly plug it in bold font. *Direct2Drive*

Exclusives lacking any brand recognition sell badly?

1) 5 of the 6 exclusive Sony titles you listed have sold over 1 million copies!

The top selling PS3 games were bundled?

2) 5 of the top 14 best selling 360 games were bundled games at times - so pot meet kettle.

You don't speak for mine. I own 112 total next gen titles spread out over the 3 consoles and PSN/XBL. PS3 - 34/54 exclusive, X360 - 17/44, and the Wii - 10/14. So 61/112 titles I own are exclusives (54%). In fact, as a rule of thumb, I never buy a console until I see 5 exclusives I want. If I wanted nothing but multi-plats, I never would've migrated to consoles in the 1st place.

EDIT: I'm sure I speak for the majority of PS3 & Wii owners. And yes XDF, although less than the ...

Kinda humorous for someone who loves software. Just a quick glance at the numbers reveals that's a complete fallacy. Look at the top 20 for each respective console and you'll see 32/60 are exclusives. Moreover, I quickly totaled the numbers and it's more surprising. Exclusives, although they represent just 53% of the top spots, had total sales of 208 million copies. 3rd party games just 83 million. And while the Wii does indeed skew the numbers, it also validates my point since it's curbstomp...

Ever think that some of us actually critique a game based on its merits and flaws? That some of us actually like the game...but would welcome some much needed changes? No, no, no we must be all 360 fanboys that spent at least $450 on a rival console & game just so we can come here to N4G and spew hatred at the other side! I'm going to start calling this rabid defense mechanism "the Socom Effect". KZ2 is a great game but has some fundamental problems with balance and rank. Inst...

You're so sure of an impending price cut from MS to match Sony, I have a simple question. How much profit does MS make off each arcade unit sold? And please provide a link. I've seen the financial reports detailing that although MS sold more units this X-mas than the previous one, their profits were 60% lower. It seems they're back to losing money on the hardware. You think that after 7 years of losses (4yrs Xbox/2+yrs 360) MS stockholders are going to want to lose more revenue just to solidi...

Last movie I saw was Underworld:Rise of the Lycans. Most of the film is filled with darks and I kept thinking to myself I can't wait to truly watch this blurry mess on BR. Looks like I don't have to wait long - May 12th. Hoo-Rah

but the first time I ever heard about the class action lawsuit regarding the PS2 (DRE) and its eventual settlement was through CNBC and CNN. More recently I seem to recollect the beating they took from their lithium battery packs recall. I first learned of that recall through the NY Times. Both situations Sony deserved the public criticism. But I just don't see how a Japanese company has that much influence on either the US or EU media. Bubbles for the civil conversation. We'll just have to a...

Sega WAS stabbed in the back...by EA.

I've often wondered if EA's refusal to develop for the DC was a byproduct of resentment for Sega prematurely ending the viability of the Genesis? And much of EA's revenue in the console business at the time. Many people tend to forget Sega had market share versus Nintendo during the SNES days (55%-45%) until they released the Sega CD. We all know how well stand alone peripherals sell. I say this because we can all speculate about a back alley...

obviously it was for the sake of the game's campiness. However, I was far more shocked the first time I heard the soundtrack (song about the singer talking to little Timmy - "Well Timmy, I'm not your father, I just #@%& your mom". I felt like Joey Lawrence in an episode of Blossom.....whoa.

The biggest beef I have is the lack of maps. 7 FREAKING maps - I was bored after the 1st week. And since all modes are available on every map, there isn't a hook to any of them. Not like the days of Sujo and the Ruins where the maps were designed with a particular mode in mind. It was almost like autobalancing w/o the need for it. Casuals and unskilled gamers alike could hop in and play as the defending team, while skilled gamers would choose the harder side (i.e. seals breaching terr base in...

you are a troll. Heck, you've spammed this article with multiple posts and even when others have tried to answer your questions with sincerity (like Figboy) you've obviously dismissed his post and continued your multi-plat counterpoint rant to no avail. What did you expect people here would say? I don't even know why I bother.
